In order to play this mod, you need an OpenGL compatible GPU at all costs. Failure to have this requirement will not allow you to play with updated textures and sprites. HUD mods, sound mods and gameplay changes are unchanged however. But you will miss the point of all this if you do not have a GPU with OpenGL in it.
You are also required to download the items below, the first is Aleph One, the engine that runs the games, and the second is the Infinity data.
Once you download these items, put the Aleph One engine contents in the folder you desire, then simply place the Marathon Infinity stuff in it. Or you can do the inverse. Just remember to remove the Plugins folder so that it becomes compatible with my mod. Then, after you're done downloading my mod, just place all of it's contents inside the game you compiled, it will ask you to replace things, obviously say yes, and you're done. Just click "AlephOne", configure your settings, then go to "environment" and select the map you desire. "Map" is the Coriolis Loop maps, which is not the main campaign mode and rather it's a map pack of netmaps (designed just for multiplayer, no AI gameplay), then there's "Durandal", the second game in the Marathon series, "Infinity", the third game in the series, and "Survival", maps ported from Marathon 2 XBLA in which you need to survive as long as possible, and for the first time, you can play on multiple difficulty settings beside Normal, so you can have less spawns and easier enemies, or a hundred enemies on screen with lots of health. Also, change the "Physics", "Shapes" and "Sounds" to "Aeon of Strife - STANDARD", "Realism Pack - Shapes" and "Rubicon Sounds" respectively, and click "Start new game".
If you want to go in chronological story order, select "Infinity" on the map selection screen, then, while holding CTRL + SHIFT, click "Start new game", then select a map called "Try again", which is a remake of the last level of Marathon 1 which also holds the same name. After you're done with that level, quit the game, go back to the settings, environment, and select "Durandal" and complete the story. Then complete the "Infinity" campaign and you're done. Aside of being the most chronological way of playing Ultra Marathon, it's also the easiest way since the levels are progressively harder. If you try going full on Infinity head first, on a hard difficulty, you're not going to make it at all.
