Traditionnal platform game consist of jumping and running fast enough to progress across levels. In Newton Adventure, you can make them move!
By rotating the levels, you can reach a distant plaform, make an enemy fall or change a projectile direction. At first sight, the game looks like two other indie games, Which Way Is Up and And Yet It Moves, but with precise rotation instead of 90° steps. 4 different graphic themed worlds with 5 levels each are playable in any order. The objective of each level is the same: you must find a key and bring it to a door that will take you to the next level.
If the first levels are quite easy, it becomes soon very difficult. Going through in every possible direction avoid dirty trap like rotating axe or pikes is tricky, but still fun.
Minus points: graphics are nice, but not exceptionnal and there is no music. A level editor is shipped with, but there is no documentation for non programmer.
Bonus points: the game runs on every platform (Windows, Mac, Linux) and is open source.
