Quick update - progress towards 0.2.0 (due out this month) is continuing apace. A ton of work has gone into calendars, time systems, seasons and time of day, some of which I've written about on the development blog and others are going to be written about soon. In the mean time, I noticed that the world map was looking rather sorry for itself, so I took a little time to blend the colors of related biomes, and also to shade according to height, and to make mountains and volcanoes rather more interesting to look at, and add a coastline! Here's the new one:

Give me a shout with what you think. A fourth map (currently we have terrain, territory, and height maps) will be due out either with 0.2.0 or 1.0.0, depending on time constraints, which will contain data on temperature and rainfall. In the mean time, I'm working on developing trees and more interesting environments for the in-game movement; some spoilers are going to be stuck on the blog in the near future, and can be found on my devblog, Facebook page, or Twitter feed. The devblog is updated weekly on Mondays, Facebook a few times a week, and the Twitter roughly daily. Any thoughts, please leave them in the comments! 0.2.0 is scheduled for release this month, and contains a massive number of fundamental changes to skill trees, character creation, combat, setting (no mythological elements any more), climate, movement, maps and other things I'll be adding here in the coming weeks...
