I am currently looking into rebooting this mod idea. The designs are, more or less, staying the same. The general concept is remaining along with the abilities list and the weapons list. I've played through this mod in my mind over and over and I cannot think of a single technilogical stumbling point that would prevent the type of gameplay I am envisioning... plus it just seems like it will be way fun when finished. I may, however, decide to swap over to a more powerful engine (CryTek comes to mind), but that has yet to be thought deeply on. I'll consult with CubeDude about this, but if you have any comments either way, please let me know.
Whatever the outcome, I have come to realize that the original vision was too huge and will be scaled down, mainly in the initial offering of game modes. I have been keeping an eye out, and so far this idea seems unique, still, which I am happy about. In the next few months, I will be putting together map layouts for the multiple maps we have planned. I also hope to reboot the website (we had some issues with spam as well as hackers, so the entire site was taken down due to lack of time to fix the security holes).
For now, I will base my updates out of moddb. I don't expect frequent updates in the start of this reboot, but it may get more frequent as time goes on. In the meantime, if people want to help out with the project, that would be much appreciated. For team needs (this is an absolute minimum): Programmer, concept artist, modeler (object -and- character), as well as a level designer. The more help the more we can split efforts throughout the team. I understand that this is a very broad ask for help, but I'm not expecting much right now. I'll post specifics more when the time is right and I am ready to present something more polished.
