Now that Lord Cylarne is back for good, the Ultimate Apocalypse mod can now finally receive the love it has always meant to receive. Unfortunately, version 1.84 broke the flow of UA for a bit with crashes and scar errors, lasting for up to three weeks. 1.84 hotfix will fix this.

Quick Basic News! - November



As of Novem 9th, 2015, I (Lord Cylarne) would like to apologize greatly for the recent patch as of late. Version 1.84, even though adds some very nice balance changes and additions to the mod, crashes the mod, along with giving it a bad occurence of a fatal scar error. The bulk of that is due to the fact that I forgot to package version 1.83 additions applied with the 1.84 update. So the 1.83 patch that NEcronguy had done up a long time ago is indeed not applied to 1.84 and was rolled back to 1.82 changes with the combination of 1.84 changes.

  1. So having said that, version 1.84 will be released with what I have:
  2. Fixed fatal scar error.
  3. Possible fix for the crashing of the mod (Chaos Daemons AI)
  4. Restored versions 1.8.1-1.83 compact together into this version.

The hotfix will be released as soon as possible, and I'm hoping it would be today (odds are it won't due to lots of things to do now). But the good news is, version 1.85 and greater is on its way! Version 1.85 will receive the following:

  • Bug fixes
  • Balance changes
  • Cleaning of the project
  • Some new content
  • Balancing of of useful/useless units compared to costs and tier level
  • Tone down godlike units and make them harder to get
  • Make earlier units more reliable by nerfing later tier units.

When all of this is settled, the mod will have much less inconvenience towards a player who farms for god like units or winbuttons and the gameplay will be improved greatly with balance, and finally cleaning of the project. This will not ALL take place within version 1.85, but maybe 1.86 or 1.87 as well up to x version. So the Hunt Begins performance and balance will be improved over the months of coding. Some new units might appear here and there as well *hint hint new mods*.

Glad youre back for good, and hope the mod keeps getting bigger and better! :D

I really wanna see some texture upgrades on the Inquisition non-Grey Knight troops

*looks at Grey Knight* Damn you so fiiiine
*looks at Inquisition Stormtrooper* MY EYYYYYYEEEES

And would make great sense to fix since the Inqusistion Stormtroopers are a main unit for the Daemonhunters

and another suggestion ive made before, but wanna keep it fresh, maybe make specialized Inquisition troopers based on different Imperial Guard armies. Could possibly launch making them into actual different armies :D I think its canonical that the Inquisition Stormtroopers had different units from different armies

I sure do hope the Daemon Lord gets remade. He is lacking compared to the other primary commanders, especially in animations, abilities, and appearance.

When you said Restored versions 1.8.1-1.83 compact together into this version. does that mean will be able to use the castle type titans in this version of UA?
