Vault 18 is Officially 100% done with level design! We're now focusing all our efforts on scripts, writing dialogue, NPC faces & armours, factions, voice acting, routines, and implementation.
This is all of the independent levels copied into one cell, and assembled as it would be if it were all one big level, seen from a side angle, North to South:
This map doesn't cover the areas you will see in the "Chapter 1" Version of Vault 18. Those are a surprise. ;) This is Vault 18 during the Prequel, before any of the major changes and damage occur that really messes up this better life underground.

Vault 18 was created with 3 core values in mind:
1. That it be a functional, livable place
2. That it show the character of the story
3. That it be an epic & memorable location
Vault 18 is a place where 200 people can live, self-sufficiently, for a little more than 350 years. When Turgidson says to the President in Dr.Stangelove, "We must close the Mineshaft Gap," he was thinking of this beast. XD
The original base of Vault 18 was actually Vault 88 from Cambragol, uploaded as a modder's resource a year or two ago. With permission, we've adapted it over time until nearly every part of the vault has been transformed except for the apartments, core, and a segment of the entrance to fit our story. ^_^ now "done" is starting to become a word you can use to describe Vault 18.
You can read all about the extensive history of Vault 18, its legends and construction, here in our Development bible:
Now that we have all of our level design and implementation finished, we are ready to seriously focus all efforts on getting ready for our demo's release. The Demo will be a limited run through, showing off our New Start, Voice Acting, Story and Characters, all set in Vault 18.
I'm debating whether that would be frustrating to players, since there is so much more to do in Project Brazil outside the vault in Black Bear... but, then again, Vault 18 is pretty huge. It could have an entire game in there, just by itself. ;)
Sound off in the comments and let me know what you think
Cheers!

Looking very nice indeed, and it has obviously changed A LOT from the original resource. Nice work.
Yeah, it's changed a lot, but you should still recognize your handywork. :) Toss me your emailaddress in a message and I'll invite you to our team dropbox!
Why is the name Project Brazil?
At first I tought this mod was about the country.
Funny thing is that Brazil is one of the few countries likely get away mostly unscatched in the case of WWIII.
Posted on the front page as part of the description:
[This mod has nothing to do with the country of Brazil. No, seriously, it's not The Country of Brazil. I swear. Project Brazil is a working title. The artistic form and story themes are heavily influenced by the Monty Python veteran Terry Gilliam, and the classic 1985 film "Brazil."]
