Progress Update: Closed Alpha in December, need modeler and animator.

Posted by on

Hey guys, R4pt0r here. The last time I talked to you guys was in September, and things have been progressing slowly. Most of our progress has been in the area of planning. We have made a ton of progress in figuring out what the game mechanics will be, how fighting will work, etc. Coding hasn't progressed very much, mostly because I am waiting for the animated model to finish up what I was working on. We still don't have any animations done because our model is still not ready to animate. Meanwhile school, work, and the economy have conspired to reduce the amount of time the team members have had to work on the project.

However, if you want time for something, you have to make it. In light of our lack of tangible progress lately, we have set ourselves a deadline. We will have an alpha version done my Christmas, at which point we will release pictures (and perhaps a video) and begin performing some playtesting. This will be a closed alpha, and we have already picked the playtesters so please don't flood us with PM's asking to be one. We are currently planning to have an open beta in the second quarter of 2010 that you guys will be able to play and give us feedback.

To help us reach these goals, we are going to be recruiting quite a few people at the end of December and beginning of January, but we'll need some people before that as well. So, as of today we are looking for 1 modeler and 1 animator. If there is one person who can fulfill both jobs, that would be even better. If you are interested, please send your resume and (if you have one) your demo-reels/renders/etc to
