Wonderful Life is getting closer and closer to completion. The latest uploads will give you an idea of what the hand drawn game objects will look like in-game. Most objects are complete and only need some finishing touches before they get implemented in the game. The drawings are a combined effort of Martijn Proost and me, Thomas Papa. We're inspired by comics writer and artist Hergé, best known for The Adventures of Tintin and Japanese artist Hokusai, best known for his stunning woodblock prints.
The game will feature a custom build camera system, different from the regular UT camera. Also, all the music composition and production for Wonderful Life is in its final stage and ready to be implemented.
Most of the game logic is in place and functioning. This month's work on the MOD will focus primarily on getting the character in the game, implementing his behaviour and animations and adding lights and shading to the game world and objects.
The second half of the month will be filled with thoroughly play-testing the game, locally. This will be done by a broad and varied audience consisting of both gamers and non gamers. SInce this is an art-game of experimental kind, I'm extremely curious about the response.
I would like to thank everyone for all your support, comments and feedback. If all goes well, a Beta version of Wonderful Life will be released, here on Moddb, around the 20th of August.
