As some of you may or may not remember, at the beginning of the summer, we announced that we would release the full version of the mod by the end of the summer. Obviously, this was not the case. We were not able to release the full version, and probably for the better, as we are still working on a few more maps, as well as the cutscenes.
That being said, we did get quite a bit done over the summer; we made a hospital map and a couple of maps for the ending nightmare sequence, worked on a track for the mod, and even released a map for Suicide mode. But we still have a bit of work to do, which brings me to my next point.
Something that has been thrown around here and there during the development is the subject of release dates, which have changed frequently throughout the production. Since we don't want a repeat of that terrible demo (more on that later), we have decided to not announce anymore release dates, as we don't want to stress out over deadlines.
That being said, we ARE STILL working on this mod regularly; it's not going to end up as another dead Half-Life mod, I can promise you that. We just want to make this into the best possible product we can give you, even if that means not setting any concrete deadlines. This is a project that we have really poured our hearts and souls into, and we continue to work on it frequently.
In addition to the full version of the mod, we've also been working on editing videos for our YouTube channel (of the same name), a weapon sound mod for Cry of Fear, and a couple of custom weapons for Cry of Fear. You can expect to see some of that stuff here on ModDB pretty soon, along with a couple more screenshots of the full version.
Thanks for following our mod, and for being so supportive!
