The mod is progressing reasonably well despite the lack of updates I have given here, or anywhere else. A couple new missions have been FREDded since the last update, and the older ones have been polished some more. I'm also deep into revising the details of the plot. I have several ideas floating around. I will pick whichever I deem to work the best for my story. You may remember that I promised a two-branch campaign when I submitted this mod to ModDB. I'm wondering whether "merging" these two branches would be a better idea than giving you a choice to pick which one you'd like to play. Developing two separate branches that focus on two entirely different concepts isn't easy, and it may not turn out to be very well. It's much simpler and manageable to focus on one branch.
Nevertheless, the mod is progressing, but it won't be completed any time soon. Progress is slow, but it's there.
Lastly, the FreeSpace Source Code Project has published the first release candidate of FreeSpace Open 3.6.12. By the time I release the mod, they will have released the final 3.6.12. version. I will optimize Descendants of Sol for the newer SCP builds, so not 3.6.11. anymore.
