PREVIEW: GERMAN ARMY IN 5.0
Welcome! It has been a long, arduous wait for our fans, and as a sign of activity from the mod team, we would hereby like to give you this grand preview of the German armed forces, showing some of the new models and units we have put into the mod (on top of the artillery and tank models showcased in the previous preview).
The work process has been going on with high intensity, and we, the Great War team, would like to state that 5.0 is now well on its way, many areas of the future mod release nearing completion. It is thus with great pride in the accomplishments that we have done the last couple of months that we would like to present this preview, with a video and considerable screenshot content, for your viewing/reading pleasure!

It's for Napoleon: Total War which is a standalone game based on the same engine and gameplay mechanics as Empire: Total War.
Is that the 'hedi' variant of the A7V in that trailer? :D

The mod looks great. However, the ending of the video "Good or Evil" is slightly insultive. WWI German soldiers are not the same as WWII.
While the precise wording may have been uncareful, the actual purpose of the videomaker was to point out the fact that after the war, the Germans were blamed as the troublemakers and the ones that were "evil", and them emphasize that no side had any true moral high ground. The timing of the shots, however, made it seem as if the German side was evil and the British side was good, which, obviously, was not the intention.

Not too familiar with the tank names the Germans used, but tbe A7V version in the video was put it in the "female tank" cathegory (i.e. using machineguns rather than cannons to cut down infantry). You'll see mainly three types of tanks in the mod, each with strengths and weaknesses against other unit types and, indeed, other tanks. :)
As in too glossy/metallic? This may be remedied at a later date through simple texture edits. ;)
Hello Modder Phockers... :) I found a nice forum where you people can get the looks of uniforms, of many nations. Because TWC center doesn't allow me to post there I will post it here.
