Post news RSS Paxitium Update Video #1 Released!

Yesterday, we uploaded our first update video, introducing some basic game features and revealing our first survival co-op game. But, don't let this fool you, we have many more features that we have planned that will make this game stand out from the rest. The art style, as mentioned in the video is still very experimental and will most likely change in the future. Unlike many other survival games, there is an optional back-story that you can discover, and complete.

Yesterday, we uploaded our first update video, introducing some basic game features and revealing our first survival co-op game. But, don't let this fool you, we have many more features that we have planned that will make this game stand out from the rest. The art style, as mentioned in the video is still very experimental and will most likely change in the future. Unlike many other survival games, there is an optional back-story that you can discover and complete.

Basic gameplay includes construction of structures for protection from enemies, looting items from abandoned towns, attacking NPC settlements, and more. Several unique features planned for the game not commonly present in other titles of this genre are:

  • A procedurally generated world with several islands. The farther away from the side of the island where the players spawn, the more difficult to survive it is as the enemies become more fearsome. However, the items which the player can attain become more valuable
  • A discoverable backstory with non-linear story style which can be completed while the player is surviving
  • A dynamic event system which rewards the player with unique items unattainable from other methods (e.g. a helicopter crash with enemies which the player must defeat to attain loot)

and much more.

Here is our first update video:

In addition, we will be starting a new weekly dev-blog updates next Sunday (8/16/15). This will inform you about what we worked on during the week.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
