New patch released! Majorly improves performance and smoothness across the entire game along with a short update!

Just wanted to drop a quick update on the state of the game. We've just released patch 1.1 to the game. It completely focuses on performance and overall smoothness.

  • Player movement is now smooth as silk! No longer jumps on some framerates.
  • Added version string in menu screen
  • Level 1 ("Tutorial")
    • Optimized initial scene, reduced amount of shadow casters.
    • Occlusion culling
  • Level 2 ("Living area 1")
    • Occlusion culling
  • Level 3 ("Machine room 1")
    • Reduced amount of shadow casters and dynamic lights in hangar
    • Occlusion culling
  • Level 4 ("Living area 2")
    • Reduced amount of shadow casters and dynamics lights.
    • Cut draw calls in area directly after park with about 60%
    • Occlusion culling
  • Level 5 ("Machine room 2")
    • Occlusion culling
  • Pod scene
    • Optimized, major performance increase

In other news, we received a great deal of positive feedback from gamers at Gamex, we estimate that some 1000 people got to play the game, which we of course are very happy with. We got requests from users to do support for Linux and Mac, which is something we're investigating, expect some more news on that in the future.:)
