We've been hard at work despite the holidays!
Over the past few days we added our first boss, Skullito. A giant flying skull that vomits huge spiders and shoots green fireballs from his eyes.
We also added textures to the environment, which go a long way toward making the game feel more like it’s taking place in an actual place, not just in a magical world of boxes.
Liked the music. And the game doesn't look half bad.

Yeah, it's a tad hard to see the enemies at times.
I don't want to add a flashlight, I've been working on some more creative solutions than that.
If it has to be done, so be it, but I'd rather do something cooler than just a flashlight/lantern.
some emissiveness to the models might work too I guess.

What do you have in mind?
Well, the enemies already had glowing eyes, so I'm thinking about expanding that glow to effect the environment around it, so there's a red light around enemies.
Just went over the footage again.
IMHO just a bit of additional diffuse light to the enemies might be all you need.
