Post news RSS Open Alpha Testing on the Horizon

Coming (very) Soon: The doors will be opened to allow players to download Pokémon World 3D and participate in Alpha testing.

When Pokémon World 3D was first announced, it was decided to keep the project closed to the public for various reasons including (but not limited to):

  • Building suspense for the game...
  • Keeping features unknown to protect them from being "stolen"...
  • The worry of Nintendo possibly sending a cease and desist letter...
  • Trying to have the project follow a professional work-flow...

However, in light of Nintendo's recent announcements giving the "thumbs up" to fan projects of their intellectual property (source:, we've decided to make a change to this previous decision. We've decided to give all of our followers and anticipating fans a Christmas gift this year. On December 25th, we'll be making the game available for download.

What to expect:

  • The ability to choose a starter Pokémon in the Kanto region.
  • A single zone from the Kanto region to explore.
  • The ability to capture Pokémon.
  • The ability to battle your Pokémon against wild Pokémon.
  • Pokémon will level up.
  • A level cap will be imposed.

What NOT to expect:

  • Evolution...
  • Gym battles...

So, keep your eyes peeled for more updates on this upcoming date. And as always be sure to visit and register at our FORUMS!

Note: Since this will be ALPHA testing, player should not expect the multiplayer aspect just yet.

Sound awesome cant wait!
