Well it happened, I restarted my computer and when it booted back up my desktop was litterly reset to the original windows XP default, along with my windows blinds totaly gone striping my custom template back to the windows default, and it seems my computer lost all my saved information such as passwords, cookies, favorites and such. I'm happy to say that it seems my main data files, games, max stuff, documents are all intact. As far as I know, since I got well over 80 gigs of information I still have to shift through, folders to see if anyhting has hit the dreaded redunant cycles error...which makes data non-recoverable!

This had made my computer extreamly sluggish and I'll be postponing modeling development untill I can get everything organized again and saving properly. *thanks god for cd burners*. In that time I'm going to be transfering all essential files to my backup computer and trying find the problem with my computer before anymore resets happen. Wish me luck everyone, these normally don't turn out pretty...

Well i know what your problem is right here,

windows XP

XP is known to have an unstable core. The solution? Linux. But however under these circumstances, I would say Windows 2000. More stable than XP and, without that horrible XP service pack 2. so if your able to, get Windows 2000 and upgrade to service pack 3, not 4. service pack 3. I hope this helps.
