Good news everyone! :)
I am pleased to inform you that official English version of the OGSE 0.6.9.2 R2 is ready and available for download in the downloads section. It was a long process, requiring much time and effort, and I hope you enjoy the result. When translating we tried to make the text as lively and literary as possible, and to translate all the humor and idioms. The main work on translation was done by Filon - our full-time translator and editor, restyling and proofreading of texts, as well as testing of the final version was done by SimplyYuri - one of our mod's testers, working in our team almost from its very beginning.
The installation package is entirely in English, as well as all the documentation. The mod is packaged in an world-wide game version format archives. This is done in order to provide the best performance - the game engine is optimized for work with it's own game archives, and the packed version runs 10-15% faster than uncompressed, plus this eliminates little freezes due to the caching of extracted game resources from the file system. Accordingly, since this version of the mod is packaged, the "tall grass" and "widescreen scopes" options in configurator working as it should. Please note only that test all conversations in the game is impossible for us due to lack of time, so if you found a repeatable crash to the desktop in some of the dialogues in game - be sure to tell us about it, to fix that as soon as possible.
In addition to complete installation package, I've uploaded another package with the unpacked files needed to make translations into other languages - if you want to make a German or French version, you can download it. When your translation will be ready, I'll post it to our downloads section.

YEAH SO i downloaded ur mod and guess what, now my SoC game wont ever open again. Is there anythign i should know about? i mean i downloaded OGS Evolution mod.

You need just to copy link from this article to any download manager at your discretion, or right-click on link in browser and choose "Save as" or "Save object as" in context menu. Then download is complete - just run it and install. Then try to play. If game wasn't starting - please contact me. I've heard about incompatibility of mod with Steam versions of game - if you have such version and cannot start mod - contact me for additional tech support.

So many damn good mods, but they are all in russian...
Sometimes I think about learning your language, just for playing all these mods and understand them^^
On the other side, I know there are maaaaany stalkerfans out there with the same problem.

Trying to do our best :) But translation is a really big deal. Russian have pretty complicated phraseology, so it cannot be translated in English directly - what is why Google translate give such a weird results. So translation must be done by native Russian-speaking people, who also freely talks English at pretty high level. Our translator, Filon - are sailor, so he talks English pretty good, and SimplyYuri, who helps to edit and mantain the translation - are professional translator, working on translations of MSDN articles and computer books. With such experienced team we have all needed to make a translation, but most other russian mod teams aren't.
Updated installation package with latest fix - so it's now again awaiting authorization. Please wait for it to became available at downloads.
This is the best STALKER mod out there. Period. Congrats to the OGSE team. Stupid question : if you rescue the duty guy in Dark Valley, you get a DOCTER sight as a reward. To what weapon can it be attached ?
The weapon in question is "Mechta" ("Dream"). This is a unigue AKM with 45 ammo capacity and high firing speed. You can find it at Agroprom location or in the undergrounds of this location.
I know you said the installation instructions were located in the release article, but I can't find this article to find the installation instructions. I ran the installer and installed the mod in "X:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\." Is that correct? I don't think it is because the advanced graphics options in the configuration tool are deactivated because it "can't find the main game config file"
If you install the game in Program Files in Win7 or Vista you have to elevate your rights to Administrator privileges, so never install any game in Program Files :)

I always install my games in Program Files. My account is the administrator account and I run everything in administrator mode anyway so that shouldn't matter. Do I install this mod in the main game folder (where the gamedata folder is located)? If so then that's precisely what I did.
The installer does it - not you. If you unpack db* files the process became more complicated. How to do it right: Moddb.com
Weird. It worked fine after I reinstalled the whole game.
The only issue I was getting pre-play was the OGSE configuration tool not being able to locate the main game config file. I wasn't able to interact with the advanced graphics options because of this. That's all I was asking about. But I fixed it so no problems now. :D
Nothing weird. After each mod the stalker game must be reinstalled completely. Today mods are changing the game and her DLL libraries.
I'm having a problem with the configuration tool too, how did you fix it if i may ask?

Configuration tool doesn't start? Install .NET Framework runtime. If configuration tool wasn't saving changes you did - start it with administrative privileges (actual only for Windows 7 / Vista when game installed in Program Files)

This is one of the best STALKER mods I've played and I've played ALOT!

Heh. Got radiation poisoning and died. I didn't know what to do. I saw a bunch of text appear on the screen talking about it, but I didn't have time to read it all before I died.
The worst part is I forgot to quick save so when it reloaded, I was back at the beginning of the game. Oh well.
PS: Would installing a 3rd party package of reanimated Stalker weapons conflict with this mod? I know this mod adds a lot of custom weapons to the game so I thought I'd ask. This pack I speak of affects ONLY the vanilla Stalker weapons.
To remove radiation use antirads, to prevent a radiation poisoning use a rad-protector (B-190 or vodka) before entering irradiated area.
3rd party package will most likely cause conflicts / crashes or disbalancing of weapons.

I have played a lot of SOC mods (many conversion) by far this is the best in my opinion. The AI is incredible, they are sucker punching me all the time, I like how you don't try to rush me through. You guys did an incredible job

Hi guys! I thank you for this beautifully stable mod!
I have only one question, with which I'm pretty desperate because I couldn't find ANY informtaion about my problem on the internet:
-> I just can't get the motion blur feature working (not in this mod and neither in the Stalkersoup mod...), I did everything: modifying the user.ltx, using the -mblur command, even type it into the console within the game... The game just doesn't show any motion blur at all...
I would be really happy if somebody could aid me in this matter! :)
the mod is very good it fun to play this mod but you have to improve stablity and the crashes
I have a computer that run GTA IV on meduim
and the mod is not so stable on the bar map

Great mod this, love all the extra weapons and everything really. One question tho, how do you get to the freeplay mode? Finished the game and got the I want to be rich ending, watched the credits and then what now?
You must finish the game with the only right end - don't walk up to the Monolith. You have to obtain in Pripyat the decoder and open the locked door. Finally you must destroy C-Consciousness. The additional storyline will start after you come to the Barkeep.
Is there a trader in Pripyat in freeplay mode? I can see trade_pri.ltx but couldn't find any.
Help, I love the mod but Id like to edit certain things like flashlight range, player walk speed, more stock on traders. Ive played stalker enough times to know all the tricks but Im tired of grinding 3 hours for money and things at the start. Also, how to properly uninstall the mod (or rename files so I can try another mod and revert back easily) cant just rename gamedata since you made it complicated.. also, where is my old .exe ?
Yeah Im sorry for not reading further, found the unpacker. Hoping it will allow me to save all gamedata and quickly reinstate mod.
