Simulacrum is the dream of a journey to the underworld. In the end of the age before our own, before man would kill man, you will find the last of the sacred oases and set it free.
The world of this custom story is inspired by games like Unreal, Pathologic, and the Myst series. A lot of the environments would not have been possible without the prior work of such artists in the Amnesia modding community as Traggey, Acies, Jonny Anomaly, and many others.
Some technical notes:
- Please be sure to overwrite DevIL.dll with the one included in the download. This is necessary for skyboxes to render properly in Amnesia: TDD v1.3.1. If you've already acquired the skybox fix elsewhere, ignore this step.
- For a more subtle and atmospheric (but demanding) lantern, overwrite resources.cfg with the one included in the download. (Make a backup first)
- Try Stayd's Enhanced Shaders for Amnesia. I can't recommend these enough.
- Please report any bugs you find using the comment section!
How do you get to the underground aquifer?
Good job! Downloaded, will play it when I got time, kept an eye on it for a few weeks via Mod DB and the FG Discord. It looks very original!
