Well, what a busy few days it's been!

Firstly, I set up an IRC room for the mod, and it can be found at:

I've finally got a decent coloured HUD working, most of the other custom sprites are working, and I found a way to give the zombies red blood without doing one iota of coding! Also, the console text is now red as well. Most of the other 2D art such as the splash screen is now complete also.

The maps are currently on hold until I can get all the other elements of the mod working to a reasonable degree. However, that said, the introduction sequence is now almost complete, and the first two levels are shaping up very nicely.

The player model is now complete, as are the umbrella soldiers. I've just sent away for my Milkshape 3D license, so I should also have the zombie and rat models complete in a week or so! The Umbrella soldiers are just reskinned human grunts from Half-Life. The player model is a reskinned Opposing Force player model (Adrian Shepard). The zombie models are basically Half-Life scientist models reskinned with Half-Life zombie animations!

The weapon models are all done as well. Basically, they are standard Half-Life or Opposing force models reskinned so that the players arm appears to be in black clothing. However, I used a Beretta M92FS model that I found on the net, and it looks very similar to the one from Resident Evil Directors Cut.

The sound effects and music are coming along nicely, with some original zombie moans and groans done by myself, and some new weapon effects. The intro music is complete, and some other music for various parts of the game are being worked on.

Unfortunately, much as I would love to do some coding for this mod to turn it into something really special, I just don't have the time to learn the basics of Half-Life coding!
