I'm proud to announce that a new Söldner patch was released four months ago. The latest patch/full installer can be downloaded on ModDB or at www.soldnersecretwars.de.

  • the ASDS respawn is now properly deactivated when an opponent enters the vehicle
  • a vehicle's driver can now shut down the engine without changing seats (ground vehicles only)
  • fixed erroneous lock message that would always display that the vehicle is unlocked
  • the engine glow effect is now only displayed when the jet engines are run up completely
  • the laser marker view of the Scout Kit is now placed on eye level
  • the number of players in a vehicle and the number of seats is now displayed next to the driver's name
  • jets can now use the minimap while in infrared or night vision
  • the team score is now displayed in CTF and CTV game modes
  • added notification sound for new team account requests
  • vehicle cannons no longer rotate to north when a user switches to the gunner seat
  • removed IR target functions (IR Strobe Grenade, IR Marker on vehicles, Scout-Kit IR Marker)
  • added function to mark Laser targets with vehicles
  • rcon map command has a help text now
  • the game mode Super Conquest can now be started via rcon command
  • the rcon password can now also be set using the command !rcon pass
  • the !rcon command can now be used without having set the rcon password first
  • the Scout Kit now has all the features of the Sniper Kit
  • fixed a bug that made it impossible to use sensors on rotated cannons with limited rotation angles
  • fixed errorneous use of passenger model offset parameter that made it useless
  • added parameter to configure rockets to loose kill energy when fired long distances
  • when switching through grenade slots the current grenade type is shown in a splash message
  • seats on vehicles can now be defined to be not useable from inside the vehicle (e.g. prohibiting switching to Heli gunner seats in mid air)
  • implemented new system that allows to start maps depending on their size and the number of players in the server
  • boats now explode again when they loose all their health
  • reconfigured flyer physics system to allow proper use of floating aircrafts
  • the commander target icons match the target type again

  • CB 90 H (non AA version) got a weaker but faster turret gun which may be used as a AA-MG as well
