I've been messing around with Enhanced GLQuake and got some cool stuff to show everyone: colored lights, gl_glows, smoke trails and cel shading! This is different from the engine based on Nehahra Quake.

I've been messing around with Enhanced GLQuake and got some cool stuff to show everyone: colored lights, gl_glows, smoke trails and cel shading! This is different from the engine based on Nehahra Quake.

Two versions will be posted: one has all the above + colored static and dynamic lights, the newer version lights up entity models dynamically. static lights do not light entity models, though. not sure why.

the 0.91 file has some sparse documentation and benchmark comparisons. you'll need the id source, bjp's source (http://user.tninet.se/~xir870k/) and this source to compile. plus masm and vc++ 6 of course, but don't ask me how to do that. i'm also working on a light.exe to compile colored lighting in maps, but this engine is the only one that can run them. darkplaces will load them but doesn't look very good. of course only this engine, enhanced glquake, and darkplaces will even load the mod at all, and darkplaces is pretty slow even on my core 2 with geforce 9800 so whatever! HEY HEY!

there's something wrong with the 0.92 version. the models aren't lit properly. not sure how to fix that.
