I've uploaded a video compilation taken from the closed beta testing session conducted on the 27th of Feb, check it out below. The test was a great success, a big thanks to those involved!
Thanks to this beta session, a number of modifications have been made to weapons and maps. A new update will be coming shortly outlining the changes. Closed Beta testing will continue in a few weeks and I'll be sure to upload videos from that session for you to check out as well.

Yes Battlescape is using the Lord Havok's brilliant Darkplaces engine mod.
Glad to see someone else thinks highly of it too ;) looking forward to the release tracking until then.
First time i have ever heard or seen of this engine. I must say the gameplay is amazing. Might as well track I'm going to play it sooner or later.
Great session and cool pace. Good to see someone play, who knows how to handle the weapons and when to take cover (unlike what you see in most reviews). The only thing that worries ;) me is that the jetstream seems to be coming right out of the guy's ***.
Yeah it looks a bit painful doesn't it. The new models for the recon troopers have a visible jetpack with the stream coming from that!

Its sure nice to see more mods, no matter how big or small, for good ol' games that I grew up on...Its interesting that there are so many different new engines that are written for quake1-2 and doom, just proves that theres still life in them. Good games, never die!
