The new mod is to be titled "ConFlict"

The story:
In the year 2121 numerous breakthroughs were made in the fields of robotic science and nano technology. Governments were soon pitted against eachother in a global race for superior military technology. But on nation, or moreover, group of nations known as the UN rose above all others in this global race. The superior science of the UN created powerful new beings bred for destuction, the Enhanced Humans. Modeled after humans, these creatures were the ultimate leap in the abilities of mankind. With better speed, agility, strength, and abilities then any human, these beings set a new standard for military might. But then the unthinkable happened... the UN had lost all control of the Enhanced Humans. The terrifying beasts of power unleashed hell upon the free world and began slughtering everyone and everything in there path. The once mighty UN crumbled under its own creation. But all hope was not lost. The survivors of the wreckage banned together to form a force that would stop the androids and save the world. The force called SAVIOUR, consisting of top-notch marines, may be our only hope in the war against the androids. It may also be our last.
The Game:
ConFlict is multiplayer-only Half-Life modification which utilizes every aspect of the Quake engine, allowing for top-notch graphics and gameplay never before experienced in a Half-Life mod. ConFlict pits players against each other in fast-paced, action-packed battles set over 10 high-definition maps uniquely designed to optimize the experience set by the game's standards. Upon joining a game, players will choose one of two sides, the Marines or the Androids, each with there own strengths and abilities. The Marines , being a squad-based tactical strike-force, utilize high-tech weapons and equipment. The Androids, being superior hand-to-hand fighting units, utilize super-human abilities (ie. super-strength, x-ray vision, high jump, wall climb, etc.). Set to release in 2006, ConFlict may very well be the most high-quality Half-Life modification project since Natural Selection.
