The only reason they didn't win is because L4D gamers are similar to the zerg. And ModDB staff failed epically.

Great game and music, but honestly I don't think the OST is worth it if it comes out free soon anyway.
The game will only release with 13 so you'll be missing out on more than half the music.

Depends on your attitude about supporting new music artists. Personally I find the idea of "Ed Harrison Anonymous Sound Technician" less romantic than the hope that he can produce more music on a regular basis. ;)

There is a mp3 download option already set up with CD Baby. You do not get the nice packaging, but you do not have to pay for shipping. The files are also DRM free. I guess the other issue is with currency conversions between countries...
