Revision has made it to the second round of MOTY voting, which also means that you can have a second vote since we are running for the top 100 mods! We appreciate it a lot if you vote for us again!

Now, it's time to talk about the Datavault images. As you may have probably noticed in the latest demo release, the datavault images you receive are the ones from vanilla and they don't quite match up with the heavily modified geometry we've done with some of the maps.

So naturally, we also have to bring in our own datavault images and this task was given to our new 2D-designer, C.C. Here are some samples of her work:

With the new datavaults, navigating your way in big locations such as Hong Kong, New York, Paris and Liberty Island will get a lot easier with the updated map photos. That's all about the Datavaults for now.

Also.. before we end, here is an image from the Vandenberg Submarine base showing off a new missile launcher that just got installed.

Thanks for stopping by & Remember to vote!
Every vote counts!

Out of all the MOTY 100 finalists, this is the only one I've voted for. Duke Nukem Forever 2013 deserves the gold almost as much, but I feel Revision would have a better chance of winning if I vote for only it and not any others. I only just bought Deus Ex a few months ago, and ever since I've exclusively played Single Player mode with HDTP Beta, Deus Ex Enhanced v2.0.0, Shifter v1.9 RC1, New Vision, and Revision. When I got to the end of the initial Revision release -- Dowd's graveyard -- I didn't go back and finish the game with the Vanilla maps, because I've seen too much of Revision's unparalleled quality UE1 maps to go any lower now. I eagerly await the final release of Deus Ex Revision so I can finally complete a full playthrough of Deus Ex that meets the high standards that Revision has brought me to.

As always, this is some impressive work.

Are the MJ12 missile launcher apart of the scenery or can they attack you?
They look kickass either way.

The one thing that impresses me the most in DX: Revision is their ability to come up with amazing architecture without the end result soaking in BSP errors. I only had to deviate just a little bit (or not at all!) from square-shaped boxy rooms and structures to get BSP holes everywhere from the actual in-game archi... to my brain! >.>

A lot of "game remake" projects tend to topple over and crumble into nothingness due to trying to use the authros' ego and delusions as the main editing tool, but DX: Revision stays faithful and true to the heart of the original game. So looking forward to this! :]

Heh, thanks for that! :)

Yeah. It's an issue getting rid of BSP's but, we have some tricks up our sleeve. ;)
