I'm still chipping away at this thing. In the last few weeks I replaced the Marine's Pulse Rifle, Smartgun, Flamethrower, Grenade Launcher, and Minigun with new detailed models. The redone AvP3 Predator is fully working in the game and looks amazing. I further tweaked the existing Alien model and replaced the LOD models (model detail changes based on distance) with the same "good" version so there's no more popping in.
Scythewraith released the first new singleplayer map for the Predator. It's a large scale replacement of the original Waterfall level. It's available in the addons section as well as his personal site here Bladeghost_j.webs.com

In some exciting news I discovered an easier method to apply high resolution textures to levels. So the job of retexturing the entire game is not as insurmountable as previously thought. I added a few screenshots to show off the proof of concept. As you'll see the originals by Rebellion are a washed out 128x128. I replaced several of them with all new 1024x1024 textures. Technically there is no limit.
Next up is finishing the new Marine hands/arms in the HUD and to continue exploring the high res level re-texturing project. It's a pretty huge job for one person.
