If you haven't heard yet, Microsoft will be reviving Age of Empires 1.
I've worked on this project for over 2 and a half years now, although I've taken several long lengths of time off, so it hasn't been wholly continuous. While it's been fun, I feel there isn't any reason to continue working on this. Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will be launched and a fan project can not compete with that.

I understand completely. No disagreement with your decision. Perhaps if anything, the success that mods such as yours had is what prompted this decision by Microsoft. Take care!
Personally I think you should finish it, at least for celebrate the news of Microsoft, and as a tribute.
But I understand your decision, I will miss this mod.

sorry to hear that, but unless microsoft does what you did and update the game on the aoe3 engine, then I think you are short selling yourself and your game would be way better. But in the context of players, I know it would be uber hard to host games of this. I am sure you will continue to do good work on whatever you do though. GG
I think this mod would be better too actually. I like how in AoE3 the units move very fluidly. It would be really hard to host this game that's one problem, but the main problem is everyone who could have helped complete this mod left. Thanks though for the support.
