You can now enjoy Minecraft from your sofa! I know a lot of you people have been waiting for this moment, and so have I! Really proud of what we have been doing and looking forward to the future updates that we have planned for the Xbox :)
Wednesday, May 9th is the day you've all been anxiously waiting for… the release on Minecraft on the Xbox 360.
Microsoft is putting on an amazing show called Xbox LIVE Arcade NEXT. Tomorrow night they are featuring Minecraft, as a celebration of the release. Seananners will be there playing live and I (Lydia) am currently on a flight headed to LA to be a guest on the show. There may be other special guests coming by too… I cannot disclose who I've heard might be there!
Xbox LIVE Arcade NEXT begins at 6pm PST (9pm EST). It will be happening LIVE on Twitch.tv

As much as being able to do split screen with my friends and brother sounds great i dont think i will be buying this till infdev is introduced.
I'm still contemplating whether or not I should go out and buy an Xbox just to play the split-screen...

I've been enjoying MineCraft from my sofa for quite a while... ah, the glory of laptops. I've always been a fan of splitscreen gameplay, though, and this seems quite epic.

i so badly want minecraft for xbox, the only problems i've seen is that food doesnt stack (other then bread and cookies, and yes i know its beta 1.6.6 but come on do they really have to do that)
and the fact the land isnt endless but i hope they fix that soon :)

i was just thinking about that :L
but it would be impossible unless you make it so the second player used buttons to view (this way you could use xpladder and both players could have controllors)
Now i have to wait till 15th May to get the 2nd part of the End of Life.
No mods, no texturepacks, and I cant for my life see how you would be able to textchat and write on signs/books efficiently.
Pay more for less, no thanks.
1600 points is about £12, minecraft for pc costs £20
mods and texture packs are going to be add in the future and as for textchat... thats what mic's are for and signs and books work fine (or though writable books are currently not in the game yet)

You know, since I bought the game in alpha when the promise was "ALL FUTURE VERSIONS OF THE GAME FOR FREE".
i don't think it meant for free for all systems android/apple/pc & xbox.. but i do have a vague recollection of thinking that was the case as well when i had first bought the game... ?
I would really like to buy it for xbox for splitscreen with my girlfriend.. but i think 800 points sounds a bit more reasonable.. especially since i already own it for pc, android & ipad.. which i never play the android or ipad versions =(..
still anxiously awaiting AI for NPC's on at least the PC version.. which probably isn't happening anymore? anyone know the answer to that? i thought there was going to be quests & such as well? no? =(.. that's ok i guess i still like the game.. but would have been epic with such additions..
I probably should shut up now.. but...
i don't really get this talk about making it subscription based? i mean.. i am hoping it will be just an optional thing with some additions & such for players that pay monthly.. but.. kinda hope they don't do the subscription thing either way since i will have spent $50 dollars on the game thus far & wish i could get additional things same as everyone else without paying monthly.. its hard enough to find decent servers especially since its not built into the game..
Just complaining.. sorry!
