Discord we tend to use the most often, we feature a number of announcements of features coming to the mod and other events and is overall more convenient. In terms of what the old kotf had, what about adding a small noclip button in the pause menu? What about having a setting that turns off the glow on force chokes, force protect, and force absorb? What about a setting that turns on health bars for all units to see how much health a npc has? We have thought about adding a noclip button, though we're not sure at this time.
What about having a button on the pause menu that opens a menu that has all the common commands set up as buttons like the npc alignment options? That way you could open that up in game and click all the commands you want quickly. This is a good idea, but unfortunately menu items take up memory and we have a finite amount of it to use. We have to be careful with what menus we add in.
What about adding more weapons to the single player game? What about adding playerteam free as an alignment option? We want to do both of those things.
What about having a base of some of the current npcs, and releasing tools to make npc packs, where people can add different npcs to the pack and people can install which ever packs they want to give even more freedom in the npcs used. This would work best if the packs could edit or overwrite the npc selection menu with a modified npc selection menu or add another section for the pack to the npc selection menu. This question doesn't make any sense, sorry.
What about adding the ability to script npc movement paths in maps? Or in other words the ability to create waypoints for npcs to follow? Want to do it, will take some time.
What about adding the gungan shield to the game? Jkhub.org We'll consider it, thank you.

Will you add Dark Forces II characters? You guys could talk with the ppl of Dark Forces II project to get a Maw NPC that actually flies around and yes, I screamed while filling this form. I screamed a lot. We want to add Dark Forces 2 characters, we never forgot. I hope your lungs are ok from screaming.

Will you add more legacy content? Depends on what's out there.
Will the AI be improved in terms of following your character and will there be an update where you can give basic commands to the AI kind of like Battlefront 2? The AI follow feature is cool but their following distance needs to be improved. There's nothing wrong with the AI following the player, they're reliant on maps with linked navgoals to work properly. If you play the Revan vs. Malak mission and spawn an NPC, they'll follow you from the entry door to the top of the walkway without issues.

What's your favourite Star Wars Era? Impossible to choose, I love all of them. Members of the team enjoy Star Wars. I know Fire Phoenix isn't too fond of the sequel trilogy. But KotF is all about including all of Star Wars, be it Canon or Legends.
Will there be any special meetings in the multiplayer for creating own scenarios? Fire Phoenix: It depends on the community that we host them. Linken: We want to do community events, but as Phoenix said, the community must show an interest.

If you could add new Force Powers to the game, what would they be? So many, my top three would be Repulse, Blinding, and Destruction.
What new content is in development right now? Two new missions.
Is it posisble to put the KOTOR 1,2 and the TOR mission story modes in the KOTF? It'd be its own mod, but since Lucasfilm shut down Aperion's KOTOR Project, we don't want to run the risk.

Just some suggestions... JKHub has a TON of very cool looking models and kitbashes available in their forums. Try to incorporate as many of those as possible. They're unique in the sense that very few Star Wars games feature them, and so would draw extra attention/demand for your mod if you supplied what others don't. Also, creating scenarios that are not absolutely true to the franchise's canon would be great as well. Create your OWN scenarios that are simultaneously HIGHLY LIKELY to be canonical. Having a group of Jedi fight against a group of Dark Side Force users would be great. No backstory needed. Just a tactically interesting fight. It'd also be great if there was a series of "Master Luke" missions/campaign, from the time shortly before the Death Star II's destruction, to just before his self-exile. It'd be great to tie it in to the Prequels through flashback sequences, and/or the discovery of old holographic recordings. We could see important conversations with Dooku, Palpatine, and Tarkin (find a GOOD use for those GREAT models! lol ). We could see how their prior actions still have a significant impact on Luke's present, and even as he ages over time. In terms of appearance, Luke's models/skins would age as we progressed through a series of battles with him. The appearance of the enemies would also change. Storm troopers early on would still have polished armor, while later on, it would be marred and dirty due to the declining of resources for the Empire as their grip was loosened. For the single-player missions/campaign, including some randomized elements would be great, such as randomized objects for using Force powers on, the quantity of enemies, etc. That way, replays would always be kept fresh and interesting. If you're in need of a writer, I'm good with ideas and words (I have contributed to many mods over the years). I'd be happy to help in that regard. For just a taste of what I mean, I have a scene in my head where Luke gets his long hooded brown cloak from one of Dooku's abodes (it does look like something that Dooku would've worn). In summary, give us the kind of material the community is desperate for, but EA is too stupid to give us. lol Keep up the GREAT work. We deeply appreciate it! Did you know you can find referrences to star trek in the NPC files by using pakscape? Also, you can tend to find stories written out about sega arcade machines and other stuff within player configurations as well. This is all for the normal vanilla jka. And its also said the sand burrower sound was once used for a different game from final fantasy. but i forgot exactly which one. But anyway, onto the question. Do you have a plan forward for additional modes outside of what we got? Or will you focus on developing whats already established further before planning out further modes. [Such as a Conquest idea. or something.] Yeah, I thought that was pretty funny. Didn't know that about the Sand burrower, never played Final Fantasy. We do have thoughts about modes we want to add in, but they'll take time.
Will you be adding Captian Fordo Prince Xizor and Dash Rendar? Also will Omega Squad be changed from mandos to black RCs? Fordo's already in, look under ARC Troopers. Xizor needs a model, we'll see about Dash. No changes with Clan Skirata will be made at this time.

Is it possible to perhaps expand more on the mod by establishing new game modes such as survival where you can pick a character with their respective advantages and go against the zombie (Legends) variations of death troopers with increasing difficulties or maybe add in the Yuuzhon Vhong? (Sorry if I misspelled that.) We have thought of a survival mode similar to EA's Battlefront, it would be interesting to try out. We'd want to try out the formula in a bonus mission first (maybe featuring Delta Squad from Republic Commando) before expanding on it.
Can't wait for the next update guys, keep up the good work. The time and effort y'all are putting into making this mod a success is something to be truly appreciated and acknowledged. If you're gonna add multiplayer bots, could you make proper intelligent bots that takes full advantage of their skillsets? Like the npcs, we'll attempt to make them as canon as possible.
Would it also be possible for you to add some hidden unlockables like secret characters, weapons, bots etc that can only be unlocked when you do a certain task or pass certain challenges.? We briefly considered it, but scrapped the idea. That challenge is achieved during the wait between updates. It's also the reason why all missions as we release them can be freely played without any pre-requisities. We make you wait an unknown amount of time between updates, there's no reason for us to make you wait longer to unlock content.

About the mod...some cool features from the previous, virusful KotF were not taken to the new, shiny KotF. Just suggesting, for solo campaign, to get a full menu to select every playable character from every faction when starting a new game, with the original vanilla game menu? Don't know if it is clear...Oh, and original KotF had fully coded SBD (with wrist blaster), Droidekas (movement and blasters) and Hutts. Do you know how to implement it and it is pending for an update, or is this Tim's taken away secret? And just again the health/shield I mentionned earlier... Anyway, KotF is a modding masterpiece, as is Battlefront 2's Conversion pack and Forces of Corruption's Strategic Improvement, the more it will get updated, the less I'll be able to play Jedi Academy without it installed. Keep it up guys, your work is much appreciated by the Star Wars Community ! :) We had to leave out the character selection menu because it had a nasty habit of bugging out, otherwise we wouldn't have had a problem. We are looking for solutions for the Super Battle Droid and Droidekas, though admittedly we're not looking at anything for Jabba right now.

Since the majority of us should now have multiple copies of Jedi outcast and academy thanks to Various star wars sales via GoG and steam will there be any Possible Jedi outcast campaign integration\compatible ? (if its there i'm blind! ) integration of Jedi Outcast demo mission? To avoid any potential copyright issues with Lucasfilm, Raven, or EA, we will not include anything from Jedi Outcast (minus sounds).
What would be an easy way to add npcs to my own copy of mod in meantime? Download NPCTool, it's what I used to make the NPCs.

How did you guys come to this idea to contionue work on Kotf? :D KotF was an interesting concept and despite the controversy, many would've loved to see it come to life. A sandbox mod with the ability to play through the films, sounds like a match made in heaven.

Though the question about the AI not following was not from me, but I suffer it too. I have created a small "campaign" map with the NPC spawner on a multiplayer map (imperial outpost I think). I start playing as Vader with 2 fellow TIE Pilots, then I have to enter a corridor, kept by a ST Officer and two stormtrooper, defending it against three rebel soldiers.
Behind the stormtroopers, a sphere droid unit (the thing with 3 cannons you encounter in Vader's Castle on Vjun) won't move or shoot at all, even if it's right next to the shootout. Then, when I enter the corridor, killing all three rebels, my 2 TIE pilots will stay there, not moving at all, just staring at me.
Even in the base game the AI had problem following the player, when you were too fast, it would stand way behind you.
I play the vader map I made as a Dark Side Character with Dark Side allies, maybe this is why the AI suffers so much...
