Journal #11: Starting the Story news

That more or less sums up this week.

As for my storm of a brain, here's whats been on my mind lately.

The IRC Channel is starting to get quiet. Maybe we've burned out all of the ideas or maybe we just need some new people to come in and get the ideas flowing again, but what ever it is, it's causing the IRC to go more or less "public".

#ZWarriorChronicles is the channel. Nothing too secretive, it's always been there. This is just the first time I'm letting you guys know about it.

If you spam or are just being a nuisance, you're out. If you're just looking for somewhere to talk randomness, you're out. I am not trying to be a control freak tyrant or anything, but I still want to make a game here, so I don't want the place flooded with spammers.

If things get TOO out of hand, I'm just going to put a password on it. This is merely a test to see how many -- if any -- people are interested in giving ideas on a more regular basis, because frankly, the chats dead. I am trying to get it rolling again, but the regulars are usually busy nowadays, so I'm hoping somebody can refresh the mood for us.

Everyone's invited, and sorry to those I kicked out at an earlier time. As was understood, there was ninjary going on andI think by now everything has cooled off.

So I'll give it a week. If too much nonsense goes on in that week, I'll leave things as they are now, but if some cool people show up and we can get some ideas flowing again, then it may be a permanent thing.

Anyway, back to development news.

You saw Yemma above, and yeah, that's all I've done in the weeks after Piccolo's release. I like how ZWC has a style now -- one I didn't even know was developing. It seems that my models have a common element to them that brings them together. I'm not looking for CnC this time mainly because I just don't have time for it. I want to get Chi-Chi modeled as fast I can, and get going on those first episodes of the story. It's time we get moving on this thing already!

I mean, it makes sense. Why model Raditz if his part is hardly even relevant yet? This way I can focus on mini-games and the inventory system which may or may not make a return (yes it did exist at one point.)

So I will leave things at that. The IRC will have a voice system in place so the spammers should be more or less nullified. But yeah. Hope to see you there, and I'll post some Chi-Chi pics up real soon.
