Happy New Year! Keeping good on my promise to do more updates, here's a beefy one to kick off 2020. We've got a whole bunch of stuff to go over, starting with our new HUD and Health system set up:
Health in Inhuman is radically re-balanced from Half Life 2. The player's armor fully protects them from damage, any damage done to an unarmored player is usually doubled. The player also carries batteries they pick up to use when they choose. This is all now more properly reflected in our HUD and I think it looks pretty nice! Shout outs to Nuked Rabbit for his sound design for the charging sound.
Progress on level design has also been progressing steadily and I'm hoping to have a solid amount of content to be released by the beginning of summer. I've avoided showing a whole lot of good looking shots til now so it's nice finally getting to show off more detailed parts of the game:
