Happy New Year Troopers!

First up in this update is a new toy for those of you with Rebel sympathies to play with. The MLC-3 (Mobile Laser Cannon) is a nippy little armoured unit that packs a hell of a punch for a vehicle of it's size. It's twin laser cannons are extremely efficient at dispensing with advancing infantry, and the charged maximum fire power shot makes short work of enemy light armoured vehicles, making it a versatile piece of equipment that no Rebel commander should fail to deploy on the battlefield.

Those of you old enough to have been around when Star Wars first appeared on our cinema screens may feel a pang of nostalgia, and might just remember this design from your childhood. Yes, Krenyo has taken the design of one of those old original Kenner/Palitoy Mini Rig toys and fashioned a fresh and exciting new vehicle for First Strike.

Stay tuned for the next exciting update, Jundland Wastes has been a long time coming, but it is so packed with goodness we believe you'll find it well worth the wait.

I STILL have that toy! What a blast to see it brought into a virtual reality. A huge smile appeared on my face as soon as I saw the top quarter of the first image.

Some of those vehicles were pretty weird. Remember the one vehicle with the two wide sets of rolling-pin wheels that could be pressed low to the ground, and as soon as you let go of it it sprung itself back up on its long-legged-axles?

Yeah, fun times in the sandbox with those babies!

Aye, it sure does bring back fond memories. The one I was partial to was the latter one that came out with Return of the Jedi, the Forest Ranger Mini Rig whuch was kinda like a speeder with gyroscopically balanced cockpit, was pretty cool at the time.

We try and keep our vehicle lore source material to just the movies as much as possible, but every now and then something fun like this pops up and you have to go...

'Why the hell not? It's so cute after all.'

; )
