Recently we were asked by Sentinelrv of HeadCrabUnion.

I recently got the chance to do an interview with the mod team behind GoldenEye: Source, which is a recreation of the original GoldenEye's multiplayer, but using Half-Life 2's Source engine to power the mod.

Sentinelrv: How much of the games mechanics, such as player movement will you be changing?

Goldeneye Source: Very little if any at all. One of the biggest things that we think we need to do is make the game just like it was in the original, as far as game play and movements go. One thing we will be adding is Jump, which will be a server side option to turn it on or off for those who want to play how it was in the original. There are also talks about adding lean and other additional movements, which we think will better the game play. Over all we think we will keep any improvements we make a server side option.

Sentinelrv: Is there going to be any kind of public beta testing when the mod nears completion?

Goldeneye Source: We will be releasing a beta sometime soon. Which will include a few maps, characters and weapons.
