With our DX9 upgrade we're able to bring exceptional looking models to Freelancer. Check out the videos to see how they look!

Since I got a few PMs asking for more videos, I thought I'd continue with my little teaser series of our new graphic engine for Freelancer. I decided to do the Force User ships for the mod since they had two very intricate animated models that really would take a bit of time to get right again. Once I fixed the smoothing errors with W0dk4's new exporter, I went to work getting the animations just right again. I'm quite happy with the results. I also cobbled together a better version of the V-Wing starfighter and created a new texture to go along with it. Next post will show the Hutt Starfighters series.

So, without further adieu, our Jedi and Sith Starfighter line up

Cutass-9 Patrol Fighter:

Eta-2:

V-Wing:

Sith Infiltrator:

Barring any huge difficult to fix bugs we find in closed beta, which is going on now, we're hoping open beta in 4-5 months. In that time I hope to apply these graphical updates to a majority of the models (including stations)
