What is hl2hosting.com?

Hl2hosting > Half Life 2 Hosting - is a web site set up for the hosting of Half Life, Half Life 2 related things, such as clans, mod developers, files, news, etc.
The web site was also designed for a news porthole, for all things HL, and HL 2, we will have one of the webs largest HL2 Media sections, provide mirriors of files, with free downloads, forum boards, servers for all hl, and hl2 mods, hosted by the oktagone, and ozforces servers, we will also be doing interviews with teams, and developers, including Extreme Carnage, and also have a POTW – project of the week main page splash

What do you need to get hosted?

The basic skill that you need to get hosted is, to have some involvement in PC Games, such as being –

The head of a clan (or the clans web master)
A level designer
A developer
Making fan fiction, or fan art
Or any thing that is not listed above

You will also need to show that your skill is worth the while of us letting you have the space on the server, so showing us a basic working web site, at some place like geocities, or 50megs will push the application along a bit faster - and also prove that your not going to take the space we let you have, and do nothing with it

What do we have that you can use?

HL2H is hosted by the oktagone.net network, that hosts the well-known moddb, and the hlrally MOD, and is known for it up time, and quick server upgrades, and data transfer rates. The machines that HL2H is hosted on support –

PHP
SQL Data bases (up to 1000)
Email addresses (up to 500)
Domain cloaking (up to 10 - e.g. Myhl2mod.com - will go to
Supper site space (up to 25 megs on base accounts, and more if you ask for it)
Massive data transfer size (up to a total of 100 Gigs per month on the network)
Kick ass transfer rates (up to 10 gigabits per second)
And lots more!

How do you apply for hosting?

A user name that you want to use
A password (this will not be shown to any one)
How much space you want, or need - please keep in mind that most hosted sites, only use about 20 - 30 megs of space
How many hits you get at the moment on your site
What your going to put on the site, such as maps, fan art, fan fiction, etc.

What we don't let get hosted

Mirror sites - unless you give us a good reason why, mirror sites won't be allowed
Wares - If you got wares, use kazza
Porn - as much as it turns some of you on, there are free host porn sites out there, find one
Bit torrent files - I like BT, but it pulls to much of the sites transfer size, sorry
