I'd rather not take up a whole news post with this, but I'd like a group of three testers chosen from our mod's fan-base.
To be eligible to be chosen you must:
-Be over eighteen.
-Be 'watching' our mod.
-Own Homeworld 2, and be willing to post your system specs.
-Have an XFire account, and be available for at least two to three hours a day.
-Be willing to listen to instructions and produce results(yes, this will be work as much as fun!)
-Agree that you will not share the mod archive with anyone outside the test group, or share images, data files, etc, anything relating to the mod. Consider it a non-disclosure agreement akin to closed beta testing(which is what this is, basically).
In addition:
Please submit your request form by giving your PC specs in detail, your XFire name, your experience with Halo(one of the games, all of them, etc), no experience is perfectly fine as well, your experience in modding(if any), why you believe you'd be a decent tester and any other pertinent information you think will help out.
Directions to giving me said request form(this is important):
Set the form up with logical formatting and ease of reading in mind, PM it to me(Aliah) on ModDB, here, forms sent over XFire or email will be ignored. I'll be accepting three applicants to test the latest builds of the mod and post feedback on our forums, if I receive more than three really good applications, I may expand that, so, be truthful and put all relevant data out there!
I must ask why you have to make it a CLOSED beta....
If it was an OPEN beta there'd be more people to test it, and find more bugs and things like that.
It would also eliminate people like me begging for an open release ;)

A closed beta is just to iron out big bugs for an open beta. Don't worry, it's coming.

Wait...what? You don't even own Homeworld 2 and you gripe over the meaning of closed vs. open beta?
Closed is the step just before open beta, to fix issues that would cause open beta to destroy itself. Stress tests, finding major bugs, etc.
Honestly shouldn't matter, it's a fun little chance to both help the mod and get a chance to play it before official release, I would expect eagerness at that prospect!
Closed beta's are more controlled and allow the developers to recieve more directed and informative feedback.
Open beta's generally are used as an excuse to play a game early :P

im running my homeworld on a laptop intel core i7-2630QM, turbo boost up to 2.9GHz but i stay in singapore :/ does that count ?

I WOULD send you an application for the closed beta, but I'll be out of town starting this Tuesday, so no go for me. T-T

I would like to note that those of you who apply should know in less than a week if you're considered/have a spot on the testing krewe. It wasn't stated in the news post, that's my bad.

I wouldn't assume anything, Velo is on 'freshers', if you want to join testing, you need to apply like everyone else. No special favors.
Aliah's right. You don't have the priveledge to cut the line in front of everybody else just because you're friends with Velo.
Aw, I'm one year short of the testing age, and lacking of a beastly PC to run Homeworld II on, all I got is Parallels running on my Macbook Pro XD
But that seems to run Empire at War with around 500 units onscreen at once plus all their individual effects pretty well..

Guys i would love to help with the closed beta but i dont have 2 or 3 hours a day i am in my bacalar year of studies so all i am going to do for you is cheer like a crazy horse :D
Have fun beta testing... I would sent one in but i have that dumb model error that makes all the ships grayed out. :( plus I dont know how much time I have in a day, if ya need me 30mins to 1 hr then sure....but the days are the big ones Mondays no. Tues. no. Wen. yes.thur. no Fridays at times. saturdays no. :( sunday ifys.
