Hidden Feature: Debug Mode. How to enable Debug Mode in Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood? Tutorial

Posted by on

Hello!

Have you ever wondered if Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood has a functional Debug Mode? The answer is... YES!

In this short guide, i'll show you how to properly enable Debug Mode in the game, and you'll be able to use Cheats & Other features that debug has! These features are: Free Camera, Cheats (God Mode, Unlimited Ammo, Concentration Mode Charge Full, Teleporting with Lasso, Give Rifle, Enable Cheat Mode) & much more!

First off - this is a video showing off the Debug Mode in game:

And a funny glitch at the end!

Setup & Installation:

  • First off, you need to enable Debug Mode. Open notepad and paste this thing to Notepad (don't edit it even slightly, because then Debug will not run!):

!include("DebugConf.def")
NoLogos()
Cheats()
UseDeveloperKeys()
LoadCheatMenuParamsOnLevelStart()

  • Save the file as "Save As" and name it debugconf.scr (after save, it should have .scr extension at the end, and you will be able to run it as "screensaver" - that will mean that you did it correctly)
  • Then, head over to Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood Main Game folder / COJ2 / Data and paste it to the Data folder
  • When you launch your game now you'll notice that game skips intro & launches way faster! Congratulations! You enabled Debug Mode
  • To test Debug Mode out, just play Any Chapter and when you select your desired character just press ESC and two buttons below about Debug will appear. One with Cheats and one with Waypoints, etc.

This is the full guide. If you liked it, make sure you share it to your friends. Thanks!

NOTE: Debug free camera also works in Multiplayer! So you can make sick camera shots when playing MP, however slow motion doesn't and it's buggy in MP.
