I wonder if it's possible to add more sides to BF. Such as Outlaws (Pirates, Smugglers, Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters, etc.) or some other organizations like CorSec. Or maybe even Yuuzhan Vong and Chiss (if you make a whole new era)!
I will never do a Yuuzhan Yong mod as long as I live, nor will I help anyone with a New Jedi Order era mod. I hate the time period, with a passion. The stories went downhill with New Jedi Order, and got worse with Legacy.
As for more sides, I will do locals, nothing more.
i agree.the story line is awful.my friends and i are making preparaion for a cartoon for the new republic era(non-bussiness propose, of course).now we're preparing some high-quality models.
Just asking. Anyway, for the third side the obvious choice would be the Outlaws (Pirates, Smuglers, Hutts, etc.), even more so considering you have a ton of models for the civilians, a lot of them aliens.
Second question: could the Rebel's special units vary on some maps? For example, if you're fighting on Kashyyyk you get Wookies, if you're fighting on Rodia you get Rodians, if you're fighting on Bothawui - Bothans, etc. I think you get the idea. And they all would have different skills and weapons.
That sounds like a good idea but, it makes no sense. In the saga there were never any/many wookie troopers or Rodian, now Bothan's on the other had is another story, they made, as I am sure you know, up a large portion of intelligence forces for the Rebels. I don't like that idea, it should be kept the same as the first and second. There are units, like the Bothan, and Wookie but it should not be a complete change in Army when going to a new planet.

Well they're in TCW, and that's an entirely different project. I don't want all my mods to feel recycled, I want them to feel unique from eachother.
Oh and I'll probably have Cody as a playable hero.

instead of adding the clone heroes (clone commanders) you could do what was done with BFX, put them to be like a normal unit unlockable after several kills... leaving the hero slot free for every jedi general of every clone legion... just an idea though...
Yeah I do that in my TCW mod, but I don't feel it fits the proper Battlefront feel I'm going for. Thanks though.
I love the idea of adding clone commando heroes in the game. They are more capable, more specialized than ordinary clones
