The video below shows a number of improvements and a full start to finish run-through of the first level, come's complete with erupting volcanoes and hidden areas. The video itself doesn't show you all the hidden areas because hey, what's the fun of playing a game if you know it all already. It does however give you a pretty good overall feel for the level and gameplay mechanics.
Music is still to come and is being composed as I type, sound effects are also being sourced and finally the enemies will be coded soon, as a small hint to what the enemies of "The Heart Of The Volcano" are, let's just say they rock....

no..the stars are cool bro...only thing i'd do is add a baackground to the wall so the stage dont look so small..unless you're inside the volcano.then it makes since...lol
