Hello everyone! I just thought I'd make this quick holiday message since I'm the leader of the group and should do stuff like this... I was at a Christmas party yesterday as I'm sure many of you were as well, so that is why this message is late for Christmas (but not the Holidays!)
I'm sure everyone is aware that Mass Effect 3 has been announced, you can head here and read the lovely bit of news posted by my good friend Mukridzsin if you didn't know or didn't hear all the info. This was indeed an exciting announcement for every Mass Effect player and fan and i believe everyone, myself included, is looking forward to the release of ME3 next year at around this time.
Aside from the announcement of Mass Effect 3, Mass Effect 2 has also received lots of praise this season. It has been in many of the 'greatest games of 2010' lists and has won many awards in other aspects including:
For PC:
Best Story, Most Innovative Gameplay, Best Character (the Illusive Man), Best Visuals, Best Soundtrack, and Best Sci-Fi Game
For Xbox 360:
Best Story, Best Character (Thane), Best Sci-Fi Game, Best Blockbuster Game, and Best Xbox 360 Game of the Year
Those awards were all from IGN. Although i don't get how the best character changes depending on the console you're playing on? haha, it was probably a different person reviewing the games, anyways, ME2 also won numerous other awards from many other events since it's release, you can check them all out on the Mass Effect 2 official website here or you can always use Google...
Overall it looks like the Mass Effect franchise has done very well this year, and with the announcement of Mass Effect 3 we can all look forward to what will no doubt be and epic conclusion to one of the best trilogies of all time...
