We have been working mainly on the engine. Improving the HUD and adding our own menu which we will be showing to you guys later, we also have finished the SMG animations and texture ,the marine that we showed off a couple of weeks ago is getting its real texture (the other one was halo's texture to show you what the model would look like textured) . We show off the grunt for the 1st time and its head texture.Now lets start with the halo solitude story.
We have not let any information out about the story ,i guess its time to change that here is a little bit of information.
The story will be about a forgotten Spartan-II, which everyone thinks is dead, but has to save the day, even though he knows he will probably never be found by his allies.
During the time that our storyline joins with the Halo 1 one, we could have our hero stopping the Covenant from glassing (see the term 'glassing' in Halopedia) the area on Installation 04 where Master Chief currently is.

This is the locations that our hero will explore (from start to finish):
Planet Reach (tutorial) -> Covenant Ship -> Installation 04 -> Covenant Ship -> That's all we can release on locations for now

CUT-SCENES:
We will have cut-scenes made of painted images (see - Tekken: Dark Resurrection on the PSP), and narrated text (with subtitles). They will only be used for the beginning of every level. We will also use normal cut-scenes.

NOTE : THIS IS NOT FINISHED WE WILL BE CHANGING THE LOGO FROM HALO PORTABLE TO HALO SOLITUDE AND BE CHANGEING THE BACKGROUND.
This week we are happy to show off the grunt,now most people would be saying that looks ugly, not identical to the real thing, the texture will make it looks great and the fact that it is so low poly (248 faces) means we can have swarms of them on screen without technical slow down.

The SMG looks a lot more powerful compared to the actual Halo 2 one. Good job; looking foward to playing this.
At first, i blew this off, thinking it wouldn't go anywhere, but i'm pleasantly surprised now.
Better and better.....this is a nice mod you have going here, don't let it die. ;) Although I don't actually have Quake, I'm going to have to keep my on this one.
