Game play has not changed at all; it is still a run and gun reflex game. Be warned, if you do not currently like counter strike, you most likely will not like Counter Strike: Source, however it may be worthwhile to at least give it a try. The objectives are the same, terrorists are the bad guys who want to blow up a bunch of crates, and the Counter-Terrorists are the good guys who need to prevent the terrorists from achieving their objective. Since I was playing on the terrorist side, I decided that I would go do the terrorist thing and go blow something up with my c4 plastic explosive. Once I made my way to the bomb site, I planted my bomb on the floor and began to arm it. The first thing I noticed while I was arming the bomb was that your character types a pass code to arm to bomb which was a nice effect. After arming the bomb, I went to what I believed was a safe distance away so I could observe what the explosion would look like. However, as you will see in the video, I was not far enough, and I took some damage when a barrel came flying at me, which in itself is a very cool effect and gives the game a more realistic feel.
CS always had that passcode entering thing on the c4 since forever.

Cheapalert thinks he's always right. BTW, CS:S is awesome. I played it at the Cyber Cafe. I can't wait to get it on my own PC. :D
If you could bother to recall the older Counter-Strike, he is obviously punching in numbers on the c4. :rolleyes:

Yeh thats true in normal cs you do the them punch in a code, but in cs:s you actually see the numbers (yeh huge bloody difference to the gameplay i'm sure O_o)
So they animated the numbers on the c4, hl could do that easily as well.

Nah, they have videos run on better computers at better quality. My guess is the computer that took these was run on a lower quality setting!
Yeh, the computer is running low there. Ive seen the highest quality one and its looks unbelievable. :D
The CS concept is depleted, Its the world needed of another CS mod?
its not another one. its just an upgrade.
Bet Valve won't be marketing it as an upgrade :P It'll be a whole new experience or something....
I will have higher resolution images later tonight. I finally tweaked CS: Source to run with higher graphics on my computer.
Sweet, I can't wait. :D
check out the website. I have 53 new images of higher quality...higest quality possible on my Graphics Card. I need more ram and a new GPU.
