Wow. This must be a first in pc games, that one game is sold with that many different package choices. I'll take one Collectors Edition with the G-Man, please!
I'm trying to figure out what package the ATI key people get :P
ATI is getting the Bronze. Though there is one problem I spotted. You pay extra for the CE edition and all you get is HL:s CS:S and HL2 when the gold version on Steam has like 6 more stuff. :(
groovy
Bronze you say .. ? Where you find that out! :p
Why doesn't the collectors edition come with all the stuff in the Steam Gold one, plus more... it is after all the collectors edition
I'd like chips and cake with mine :(
Why don't we get DoD:Source with the collectors edition?! That is pretty rediculous...I don't want to get the steam version I want the box and a CD, so I don't have to DL it everytime I format or get a new computer! Well this is crappy :|
I took the liberty of complaining about it to valve :P
How can I buy it through Steam yet still get hats and stuff
My question is that if steam buyers will also get the box or something for it :)
Steam users don't get the BOX. So don't get your hopes up. I found the ATI voucher thing is getting Bronze at planethalflife.
Mm :|
Steam Gold package for me baybeeeee!
If the CE offer doesn't give you more than the Steam Gold edition, then that's just a plain ripoff for those that buy the retail versions. We're paying more money for less :S
If it comes down to it, I'll just pay for Half-Life 2 standard and download the Source versions of the games instead. I could find the merchandise on Ebay or something :P
I also wonder, what if you don't have a DVD player... I guess that rules me out already for getting the CE :(
Well lets see, your in the new world where DVD roms are a general storage device. DVD drives are cheap now. Go buy one.
can anyone say silver ??? :rambo:
I think its stupid in a way... HL2 Hat? HL2 Stickers and postcards? I find that dumb :/ I wouldnt walk around town with a HL2 hat on, putting stickers on my face and handing out postcards, or really any other use of it.
I'll stick with the "Bare-Necesseties".
Where's the wood option? ya the one that just includes hl2! >_<
I'm going steam gold package .. and also getting teh collecters addition which will remain unopen and be buired with me .. :p
Notice the Prima sampler... i.e. the collector's edition doesn't even contain the full Prima game guide. Oh, or DOD:Source for that matter.
Looks pretty horrific to me; so much for a good collector's edition... :|
Hey Valve, how about the "Current Customer" package? HL2, HL1:S, CS:S, and DoD:S all on one DVD. I dont need your back catalog, because I already have that stuff. I have no need for T-shirts, stickers, and other non-game items. I'm also trapped on 56k, so downloading all that as a Steam package would take roughly 4 billion years.
Hehe.. if I would win that contest I'd auction it off :) Heck I'd give it away before I'd visit Valve...
