~ Dead Space 2 ~

~ Some information about the game ~

The game begins in the asylum on the Sprawl, a densely populated space station surrounding a shard of Titan, one of Saturn's moons.Isaac Clarke awakens with no memory of the past 3 years since Aegis VII, having just been awoken by Franco Delille (protagonist of Dead Space Ignition), who is attempting to free him. The already-ongoing Necromorph outbreak claims Franco's life, leaving Isaac to escape on his own.

Soon, he is contacted by Daina Le Guin, a woman claiming to have a cure for his "condition". He is also contacted by fellow patient Nolan Stross (a main character from Dead Space: Aftermath), who endured a treatment similar to Isaac's.Daina explains that Sprawl administrator Hans Tiedemann is building a new Marker using information encoded in Isaac and Stross' brains.

She also claims that a self-replicating signal was imprinted on Isaac's mind by his previous encounter with the Marker, putting his life in grave danger, which Tiedeman kept in check with memory suppressants. Ignoring Stross, Isaac fights his way through the city (still filled with survivors trying to escape the Necromorphs) to reach Daina. Along the way, Isaac experiences hallucinations of Nicole, which become more vivid as "she" tries to deter him from his task.

Upon his arrival, Daina, a Unitologist agent, has Isaac restrained, claiming that they need him to build more Markers to spread Convergence, an event foretold in Unitology, across the universe; however, an EarthGov gunship strikes, killing Daina and her associates and allowing Isaac to escape.

My first choice would be to make sure I can withstand the attacks. In Dead Space 1 AND 2, AND the movies, the biggest thing that made everyone die so easily is lack of protection. Sure, a simple suit is not going to do much. But when you have the full Engineer's suit, completely armored out, you are one tanky ************. Even on the harder difficulties. So, this would be one of the first things I would look for. Some kind of armor. Because the monsters are actually quite predictable and avoidable once you get the hang of it. My reasoning for this is if there's a group of them, a melee weapon isn't going to help you much anyway unless it's unbelievable sharp. But one or two of them, you can handle. And the armor will make you a lot safer in that engagement.

Of course I'm going to help them, what do you take me for?! Albeit being in a group actually puts you at greater risk because of how these things function, I don't really give a damn. DUUUH!!! I'M ISAAC CLARKE!! (Huzzah's if you get the reference)

And for the final question: Well, it's really do or die. To be honest, both situations have a very low chance of survival. Escaping in the capsule, or not. Might as well try to get off so you're not in a Necromorph-infested ship/station-thingy right?

Also: I'm not ACTUALLY participating. I couldn't play this game on my PC. I'm just having fun. =)

(Cont.)

And as a side-note, Dead Space 1 & 2 is probably one of the greatest games that's had the EA logo slapped on it. 2 Especially. The mechanics are smoother, the gameplay is funner, the atmosphere...Oh god the atmosphere just makes you **** yourself. Dear god. Dead Space 2 took everything from the Dead Space Formula and then had Emeril Lagasse himself KICK IT UP A NOTCH!! There are VERY few things that Dead Space 2 did wrong from the first one, and I can't even remember them right now.

If you had to start with the better game, instead of doing them in sequence, I'd start with Dead Space 2.

It's kinda like Oddworld in a way. The first one was a refreshing take on an already well-defined genre. Touching the hearts of many, and gaining the interest of them all. The second one improved EVERYTHING gameplay-wise that was wrong with the first one, and then some! And an argument can be made that the story and atmosphere is better too! But some would disagree and I understand their points too. Then...The rest are well...Just not the same. Not bad, but not the same...

Anyway, I restate that I'm not actually participating. It'd be a waste if I got it, as my PC is horrendously ******.

PS: If all of that isn't enough to convince you this game is good, I don't know what will. =)

Question 1: I would find the controls of the ship and drive the ship back to a planet and sell it on Ebay, then with the money I would buy Dead Space 3 or throw in money for a Death Star.

Question 2: I would strip down naked and throw my self towards the monster and sacrifice my body for the person.

Question 3: I would tell the monsters to go to the Capsule and they would get in the capsule so I get a free ship to my self. If they started chasing me if they saw me then I would pretend I'm one of them by going behind one and biting its arm or something. Then they would fear me ( Or kill me) and then I could go to the capsule and escape playing classic 80s music.

1. I'd need to get to the bridge, establish communication with the closest ship or at least try to get headquarters if they could send a rescue/extraction team to get whoever's left alive.

2. I'm not gonna help the fella, the monsters are probably deadly enough to rip his guts out like there's no tomorrow. I'd hide somewhere.

3. Run, run, run. If I had an adrenaline shot, I would use it before I make a run for it. Should I be killed... God knows at least I tried.

1. I do need to look carefully around and check if there is an extinguiser around, and if it yes I would take it and check if you get propeled as you would do with a jetpack too.

2. I am going tonp help only if I do tiuch or smell him, because I don't want to fall into a mirage... Nothing worse than being dead by an illusion.

3. If those monster are any sort of humanish way of life I would bribe them with... My spaceship, anyway it's infected by dozens of them so possibly it will be excited to proclame itself "The ******* king of this spaceshit"
If that fails, I would fight by myself unitl the end.
