Greetings, companions of Edain!
Today we released a fix for the version 4.5.5 that addresses the issues with the Imladris AI and the War of the Ring gamemode. You can download this patch through the update function of the Edain launcher.
The Imladris AI didn't act as it should have so far in 4.5.5 due to a tricky bug that we were now able to fix, meaning it should again be a worthy opponent or strong ally in your skirmishes. We were also able to fix the bug with the War of the Ring gamemode that caused maps to appear black, builders to appear and even crash the game entirely from time to time. Both issues should be resolved with this update.
We also want to take the opportunity and advertise a tournament organized by the community: The Edain Ranked Open Cup 2021 is about to start and offers you once again the opportunity to prove your skills and conquer your enemies. As we have done in the past, we also want to give out prizes to the best players: The top 8 will gain access to our internal beta version, where they can take a good look at the upcoming Misty Mountains faction and test them in battle. Thanks again you guys, this mod keeps blowing my mind away.
Today i played with Imladris as ally, but it wasnt a strong ally in my skirmishes. Played two times, two times it bearly built units save mages :/
Edit: they do build, just take way more time than other factions.
It does the same thing with me, only building Loremasters in skirmish, making for quite an uneventful fight.
Every skirmish I have done, random players loose after 3-5 minutes of gameplay. I hate to be that guy, but the game is unplayable for me atm.
What do you mean about random players?
Thats never ever happened to me.
Like they all die suddenly or they get defeated by other players very quickly?
They die suddenly. Out of 5 players, one died after 3 minutes, then another 2 at 4 minutes in... I think Mordor, Dwarves and Gondor are the most vulnerable to that.
Are we talking about the AI here? Or about human players?
Both AI and myself, did not try online.
I dont know if this only happens to me, but Lothloriens AI -at every castle or camp- misses to build the whole camp, always leaving one building slot.
(Note: Skirmish Mode) Something that really bother everything is, each cpu attacking to their CPU enemy base at the start of the game/(skirmish) they are rushing to their enemy base and left their own base without guard :v easy in just 2-3 minutes one defeat and one dying, no matter how you played 2v2, 3v3, 2v3, 3v4 or whatever, early attack to base will happen. come on man, Fix the AI and don't let them rushing, it just no logic.
Not much we can do about it due to technical issues.
Ive not problem at all with it, if you are wise, you can gather nice amounts of experience since the very begining.
I have a frequent issue with the game crashing early in the game when I'm playing with a larger amount of teams (4v4 crashed in a few minutes last night). It seems to be a repetitive issue, is there a fix by chance?
Yes, lower your graphics especially shadows enable the 4gb patch in the launcher, enable the performance boost in the launcher, play on a smaller resolution
