First enemy and new weapon news

Happy new year everybody!

For the first weekly update of 2015 we wanted to show our first enemy, the hexapod:

And here he is taking his first steps in the world of Tower57 :)

They seem innocent enough, but once they have picked up on your presence they will relentlessly chase you down!

There is also a new weapon, the laser rifle (the next gifs use the flamethrower as a placeholder, but it should look something like this:)

We’re trying really hard to give each weapon specifities and different usages (the laser tommygun is average in everything, the missiles are powerful but inaccurate and clumsy in enclosed spaces, the flamethrower deals lasting damage but has a short range and can easily … backfire ^^, etc…).

The laser rifle is a very powerful weapon, but it’s also quite slow, so you better line up those shots carefully:

On the upside it can pierce through several conveniently aligned targets, such as crates…

... barrels ...

... and even cute little hexapods ^^
