Final Dawn (or "Project Aurora" as we called it back then) was originally started over a year ago, in Febuary 2003. Back then, UT2004 was far away, and UT2003 was the best platform to base the mod on. But now UT2004 has been released, and is being played by many, we had to make a decision. Many UT2003 players now have UT2004, and overall, it's an improvement on UT2003. For these reasons, we've decided to recode Final Dawn to support UT2004. We're hoping that this will let us improve the game, and expand out player base further.
As we move into the final stages of development, we need to do more beta tests, with more people. Not quite a public beta, but we're looking for anyone that's willing to put in some time to help us beta test. The only requirements are UT2004, and some spare time.
