Fight for revenge in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
The long list of entertainment based on JRR Tolkien's epic fantasy universe of Middle-earth gets this year a new addition in the form of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. Monolith Productions ambitious action RPG game based heavily on Tolkien's source material, but serves up an original story.
The game takes place in the time between the events of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and instead of well-known characters like Bilbo, Frodo, Aragorn and Legolas is a hitherto unknown adventurer named Talion are in focus. So far they have learned little about Talion and the adventure he embarks on the Shadow of Mordor, but a brand new trailer modify it.
Monolith released last Wednesday a trailer named Banished From Death, which gives a deeper insight into the game's history. A grim fairy tale where a vengeance main character wakes back from the dead works to operate the game forward, considering that the developers collaborate with Middle-earth Enterprises and Peter Jacksonm we expect the Shadow of Mordor will be chock full of details that will appeal Tolkien fans.

Did you even read the titles of the LotR books? This game ***** on Tolkien's lore. That's why I give it hate. If it wasn't trying to pass for a LotR game I'd be fine with it but it is and therefore this game will be horrible in my opinion. By the logic in this game, Skyrim could be called a LotR game because it has orcs and elves. If WB doesn't see the profit in making horrible LotR games, I predict and hope they will not renew their license when the time comes thus allowing stuff like merp and there and back again to be made. If you don't know about merp and there and back again well search them up on moddb. Those projects are amazing!
For me they really could do something like "Lord of the Rings Two Towers,Return of the King" games alike they were really great(at least for me)as so were many other LotR games in the past.

Good point. Yet another over powered main character :( Good thing not all games make the player the center of the universe else gaming would get very lame...
From this they could do an excelent game...about a dunedain or gondorian who lost is family and fights for the protection of middle earth between The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings....we would fight with the main character from the South in Ithilien and fiefdoms of Gondor, passing by the Elves lands..especialy Rivendel, protecting the old kingdom(Arnor) in territories like Shire, Rhudaur, Cardolan, Arthedain, having naval battles in the grey havens...and then travelling to North to Gundabad to fight orcs with a large company of well armored men. In each battle he would have troops helping him; like in Shire hobbits, elven lands elves etc.; and battle would have lots and lots of troops and siege battles and the main character wouldn´t be some vengeance spirit who came from the dead :\ ... What do you guys, readers, modders, players, think about my vision? :D
It's as if you actually read the titles of the books! Congratulations. That would actually be a pretty cool idea for a game but it should be based on the books as much as possible.
