After roughly 1 ½ months without any news, we wanted to present you a new feature of Enderal - The cut-scene system!

The development is going fairly well at the moment – Big parts of the level-design have been finished, the first quests and dialogues have been written and implemented with the help of Articy:Draft, new models (Armour, vegetation, architecture) now adorn the world and Enderals music-library grows constantly with new soundtracks , battle-and exploration music, as well as bard-songs.

We once mentioned in an interview that we’re aiming to make Enderal as cinematic as possible. We’ve now created the foundation for that, thanks to this first draft of a cut-scene system. It still work in progress, but this ingame-video of the English version, set in the small coastal village Flusshaim conveys the idea of what it will and does look like. Camera-cuts and tracking shots will also be possible and we’re planning to thus make special moments of the game more emotional or immersive. If you take a close look, you’ll also notice two custom-made armor-sets!

More feature-presentations will follow.

All the best,

The SureAI-Team

I love free cookies when i have it but i think you guys should go commercial one day, the quality on your work is so above the initial game at lest has Nehrim is concerned that i think you guys would be a success, of course you would lose the ability to use the already made hight quality assets and maybe even the opportunity to use the Gamebryo engine, But there's good inexpensive engines out there and even if high quality assets where not possible to me the gameplay and the story is what makes your games so good, food for thought.

So you are releasing a base English version along with German then? i ended up quite enjoying playing in German with English text. i'm not sure which i'd play with. it would probably be determined by the quality of the translations.

I have a technical question for you:

Are these screenshots pre-recorded .bink videos that are played back with Papyrus commands, do they use a system of teleportation and camera manipulation (thus the player being one the bench at the end of the scene), or are they made with some other method? I am working on creating a mod using your (SureAI's) ESM from your website, and I am very interested in how you create these cutscenes.

Looks cool, I didn't know Skyrim can do this!

Usually I prefer First Person view games without cut-scenes, because everything is in real-time so immersion is always deep and doesn't turn me out when the camera angles change to a cut-scene. Like in Skyrim, I feel like they're talking to me and not the character I'm playing as. I think that's why Skyrim or any of the last Elder Scroll games didn't have a cut-scene feature, for Immersion and not like watching a movie about somebody else. Half-Life didn't either. Little things that have that charm. Also the fact that your main character doesn't speak is a little charm most of us would ignore. Well, I love to role-play and speak for my character, lol.

I feel Enderal can do this right, so I can't wait for this game! I love the music in the video as well.
