All the factions, sub factions, sides, teams, countries, anything playable. And that is a lot.

Posted by on

Here, I will show you all the sides playable.

First, a line up, to explain things a bit, the Allies are the main faction. Europe is beneath them, they are the first sub faction, and are basically a whole new side. Beneath Europe are the Netherlands, as they are in Europe. The Netherlands, however, are a country and as such have a few special units, but for the rest they use the tech tree of Europe. Going a bit downwards, we see America. That is the second sub faction of the Allies, and again has a whole new tech tree. Mexico, for example, is a country of America, and has a few special units while it uses America's tech tree. Japan, Korea, and Australia use the basic tech tree of the Allies, as they aren't part of Europe or America. While Korea and Australia are true countries, as they only have a few special units, Japan has a whole new tech tree. It uses some units from a Soviet faction called the Sickle, but it mostly is unique. Still, Japan has allied itself with the Allies, and as such, should be noted under them. The same goes for the Soviets, and the rest. Note that only the Allies and Soviets have countries, the rest only have sub factions. For example, the Slayers, they have a basic tech tree, that contains things like the Virus and the Brute. The Infected have a whole different tech tree, with much mroe mutants, and the Anarchists again have a whole new tech tree, but they focus on suicide units and are much like the GLA.

I hope everything is clear. Now, the actual line up of all playable things:

--------------------------------------------------

Now, a discription of what each faction is, what it does, where it focus on, probably anything you want to know. Even the faction's color, which differs per sub faction too. For example, the Allies are blue, but the Americans are cyan. All of the colors mentioned here can be played with, including some special ones like pink. You may also wonder what the faction trait is supposed to mean. Here it is:

Financial
Ore Miner's give 50% more money
All ground units are built 10% slower

Turtler
All buildings have 25% more armor
All buildings are built 10% faster
All ground units cost 10% more

Rusher
All ground units are built 25% faster
All ground units have 10% more armor
All buildings have 10% less armor

Steamroller
All ground and air units are 50% better armored
All buildings are 25% better armored
All ground and air units are built 10% slower
All ground and air units are 10% slower

Guerilla
All ground units are 25% faster
All ground units are built 10% faster
All buildings are built 10% faster
Ore Miner's give 20% less money

Ace
All aircraft have 25% more armor
All aircraft are built 10% faster
All aircraft are 10% faster
All ground units have 10% less armor

No unit list will be displayed, but note that I do have everything planned out and all stored in a nice notepad document.

-Allies
Color: Blue
Focuses on: Advanced technology, lighter, cheaper, and faster units then the Soviet Union
Faction trait: Financial
The main army of the Allies, it hasn't changed much from Yuri's Revenge. It has gained some new units, like a basic artillery, a new robot, a new plane, and nearly all of its units are changed in some way, but most of them retain their same role. The big exceptions is the GGI, whose missiles only fire at aircraft. The GGI is thus an anti-aircraft infantry, while the Sidewinder is an anti-tank infantry. But overall, you shouldn't find it hard to play as them.

--Europe
Color: Azure blue
Focuses on: Even more advanced technology, but that comes at a price
Faction trait: Steamroller
In this story, Europe was continually invaded by the Soviets, thus with all the factions at a stalemate, Europe is now populated by rebels and it's a question if you'll survive to see another day. Europe is angry at America, as Europe did all the hard work and were like a giant meatshield for the Soviets, so that America could sit back and wait until the war was over. That is exagerating things a bit, but overall it's true. If you like prism technology, mirage technology, chrono technology, and high tech weaponry, this sub faction is for you.

---Netherlands
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Naval warfare
Faction trait: Financial
I live in the Netherlands, that's why I added it. It focuses on naval warfare, but it also has a single ground unit, the Soldaat, which is a combination of a Shotgun Trooper and a Sniper. It uses the Europe tech tree, as you probably guessed.

---Germany
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Anti-tank weaponry
Faction trait: Steamroller
Germany, the country that had (and still has) the Tank Destroyer. It is much better now, I'm not sure, but I believe 3 Apocalypse Tank's can't beat 1 Tank Destroyer. Overpowered? Maybe, but I want infantry to be used more. And still, who in his right mind would attack a tank destroyer with tanks. That makes no sense. Other German units are also anti-armor based, for example, the Piercer replaces GI's. Undeployed, it's the same, but deployed, it sucks against infantry and owns against vehicles.

---Franch
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Base defences
Faction trait: Turtler
Many people thought the Grand Cannon was overpowered, it outranged artillery! Yes, it isn't a Grand Cannon for nothing, but now, most of the Battle Lab artillery (which nearly all sides have) outranges the Grand Cannon so it is destroyable. Of course, sides that don't have a Battle Lab artillery, or that have a Battle Lab artillery that doesn't outrange the Grand Cannon, have a bit of a problem. But it is destroyable, so unless your enemy has 5 Prism Tower's next to the Grand Cannon, it won't matter much. Alogn with the Grand Cannon, Franch has gotten more defences. I mentioned the Battle Lab, well, only Soviet players will have that. Battle Lab's, Barracks, War Factory's, and Aircraft Command HQ's all have a name chance depending on which faction you are. Allied Barrack's are Boot Camp's for example, while Soviet Aircraft Command HQ's are Airbases. If you like to turtle, use Franch. If you hate turtlers, don't play against Franch.

---Great-Britain
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Stealth
Faction trait: Guerilla
The Sniper was mostly useless, but it isn't anymore! It is invisible unless firing, and it has C4's! Along with a huge price increase of course, and don't worry to much, stealth detection and disguise detection (which more (previously useless) units have now) is now really needed if you want to be succesfull, and other factions also have stealthy units with such destructive capabilities. Great-Britain focuses on stealth, and as such, has more invisible things.

--America
Color: Cyan
Focuses on: Conventional technology, long range weaponry, heavier things then the basic Allies
Faction trait: Turtler
America is in this story a lazy continent that uses others as a meatshield while doing some damage to the enemy and claiming the rewards afterwards. Understandably, Europe doesn't like this attitude. So, America's forced to go to Europe to solve all the problems there, while America is mostly undefended. That of course spells trouble! America uses conventional bullets and shells, as their technology is lost to Europe. Einstein afterall lives in Europe. America however, has heavier things then the rest of the Allies, and its tanks are sort of a mix between a tank and an artillery, making them great assault units.

---Mexico
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Upgraded units
Faction trait: Turtler
Mexico has better units then the rest, they have for example the Elite GI which is a tad better then a normal GI. They also have improved Aegis Jeep's (the IFV replacement for America), called the Aegis Tank, and more. Nothing special, but some things are better.

---United States
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Spam
Faction trait: Rusher
The United States consist of very much independent states. It can be a bit hard to coordinate attacks if you have to speak to 30 commanders or something, so all states have special Communication Node's which allow the player to drop some quick and hefty reinforcements, consisting of a mix of all the other paradrops, that can be called in every 2 minutes! Yes, the Allies, Soviets, Slayers, and the Loyalists have a healthy amount of paradrops. From the basic infantry drop that you get when you build a Barracks, to a massive paradrop that requries a Battle Lab that drops 10 Grizzly Battle Tank's and 20 GI's (or something like that, it's all balanced). The United States also have cheaper but weaker infantry (but overall more cost efefctive and thus better), so you can rush them into the battlefield.

---Canada
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Nothing specific
Faction trait: Financial
Canada is really a random thingy, but I had to add it because I added Mexico and the United States too. Their snowy landscape has learned them some important things. And it has given them somethign as well, the Polar Bear! Like Chitzkoi (no, that cyborg dog isn't in this mod), it can attack vehicles too, and for the rest, it performs as an Attack Dog (although it is a bit slower and has mroe strength). Canada also has some other random things, but if you've got suggestions, I would like to hear them.

--Japan
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Ninja's and other stealthy things, plasma technology
Faction trait: Guerilla
Depending on which campaign you play, Japan acts different. In the Soviet campaign, for example, it wants to take over the Soviet Union by itself, and is in a war with both the Soviets and Allies (who both want control of Japan). And then a mysteriosu force (the Brotherhood of Nod) pops up in Japan. This creates some very hectic and chaotic scenarios. However, Japan has allied itself to the Allies for the moment. The strange thing is, they use some Sickle technology which is a sub faction of the Soviets. Japan possesses Ninja's, and plasma technology, but no Mecha Tengu's or psychic girls. That's just stupid.

--Korea
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Aircraft
Faction trait: Ace
Korea uses the basic Allied tech tree, and has the best aircraft of all. Improved Harrier's, precision bombers, a Spectre Gunship thingy, Korea now is an army to be feared. Especially because aircraft, just like infantry and ships, will be much more important. The totally redesigned armor system (I now have around 32 armor types) do help too...

--Australia
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Amphibious and naval units
Faction trait: Guerilla
Added because someone at CNCGuild, at Revora Forums, wanted it. And no, I don't just add any faction people want. But I liked the idea, and there were actually things that Australia could specialize in, so...They have some interesting units, mainly weak ones with underrated qualities like speed. As I guess most people prefer heavy and strong tanks, instead of faster but weaker tanks. Take for example the ANZAC, it replaces the GI, and can't deploy. However, it is amphibious, faster, and stronger (qua strength).

-Global Defence Initiative
Color: Yellow
Focuses on: Slow, heavy units
Faction trait: Steamroller
The GDI just appeared in America, just in time to help the Allies to stop the Loyalists that were in the process of capturing Yuri's brain. They still succeeded though. The GDI are like the good Soviets, although, good. I always pictured them as the guys who wanted the destruction of the Brotherhood of Nod, and wouldn't care about any casualties. For the greater good, or, the end justifies the means, would fit with the GDI in my opinion. They have heavy but slow units, like the Soviets.

--Steel Talon's
Color: Yellow (they don't have a specific color, mainly because I couldn't think of Nod colors (they ened to differ from the Soviets), and because I couldn't add 6 new colors (for the GDI and for Nod))
Focuses on: Mechs, railguns
Faction trait: Rusher
If you've played Kane's Wrath, you know what these guys are. But of course they differ from their Kane's Wrath version. They still use mechs and railguns, but have a whole new tech tree, so...

--Twilight Hawk's
Color: Yellow (they don't have a specific color, mainly because I couldn't think of Nod colors (they ened to differ from the Soviets), and because I couldn't add 6 new colors (for the GDI and for Nod))
Focuses on: Stealth, intelligence, counter intelligence, sonic technology
Faction trait: Guerilla
Now this sub faction will be hard to play effectively. They are weak, and they rely on stealth. For example, their basic infantry can disguise as an enemy infantry (or a friendly of course). Their advanced vehicles have EMP capabilities, and you will have to rely on infantry to win. Their infantry is powerfull, to make up for the lack of advanced damage dealing vehicles. That isn't really true though, as their "Error" Heavy Tank is really danegrous in the right hands, but still. You can probably win by using standard tactics, but to use your new tools much more effectively, you have to employ unorthodox strategies and manipulate your opponent in doing things...

-Soviets
Color: Red
Focuses on: Slow, heavy units, tesla technology, nuclear technology
Faction trait: Steamroller
The good old Soviet Union now lies shattered with rebels everywhere. We all know this army from Yuri's Revenge, and again, not much has changed. An anti-aircraft vehicle has been added, like all factions, they've gained some aircraft, and they've gained some other things, but you can easily play as this faction. To list a big change, Desolator's, they're now for all Soviets, and a true Battle Lab infantry, it can still deploy, but its main gun will also spawn a smaller radiation field, and is good against vehicles too. Color of radiation has changed too, green is toxic, purple is anthrax, and yellow is nuclear. Future radiation may be tiberium radiation, or some other thing, but that's all not sure and thus not added.

--Sickle
Color: Orange
Focuses on: Fast, hit and run units, advanced tesla technology, advanced nuclear technology
Faction trait: Guerilla
Maybe a strange army at first glance, their lower tech units are based around hit and run tactics with conventional weapons (although, their basic tank, the Sickle Tank, fires a few inaccurate shots every time it fires, damaging groups of enemies), and their higher tech units employ very dangerous tesla and nuclear weapons. And very dangerous means very dangerous...Very dangerous...

---Cuba
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Missiles
Faction trait: Rusher
Cuba's Terrorist, as well as Lybia's Demolition Truck, has been removed and given to the Slayers (although of course, with some changes, not just in appearance). Cuba now possesses very dangerous missiles, like the V3 (yes, it's only for Cuba now, but much, much, much better) and the Missile Emplacement (a stationary MRLS, with some changes of course). Cuba has much long range high explosive weapons, so don't rely on your base defences to protect you.

---Iraq
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Radiation
Faction trait: Turtler
Iraq's Desolator is now for the whole Soviet Union, so Iraq needed some new things. If you thought the Nuke Cannon was dangerous, wait until you meet the Rad Artillery. While dealing the same damage, the radiation field is much larger! That and more await if you choose Iraq, so if you like radiation, you know what faction to choose...

---Lybia
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Suicide units
Faction trait: Guerilla
Lybia still focuses on suicide units, with Bomb Jeep's, Demo Trap's, and Terror Drone's. What? Terror Drones? Yes, normal Terror Drone's have been renamed to Parasite Drone's. Terror Drone's still cut infantry in little pieces, but they have explosives to deal with vehicles and buildings. While not dealing much damage, Terror Drone's are of course fast and hard to destroy. Unless you have a nice wall of defences...

--Hammer
Color: Dark red
Focuses on: Heavy, very heavy units
Faction trait: Rusher
You'll love this faction if you like the Apocalypse Tank. Some random units, an Apocalypse Tank (only slightly weaker) at Radar Tower tech (the War Master), the best tank in the whole game (well, the heaviest and most powerfull) at Battle Lab tech (the Conqueror Tank), a basic tank (the Hammer Tank) which is better then a Rhino Heavy Tank and also has a slow firing and weak missile launcher for anti-air units, an Axe Artillery that, while having a shorter range then other artilleries, can decimate units and buildings with no problem due to its inaccurate but very fast firing rate, and it also fires multiple shells per shot. The true Soviet faction indeed.

---Russia
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Tesla technology
Faction trait: Steamroller
It seems strange, Russia, which uses Hammer technology, specializes in tesla technology. Yes, my first idea was to add Siberia whic would have tesla technology, and Russia would focus on tanks and other conventional weapons like flak technology. But I didn't add Siberia, I don't really know why, maybe later. As for now, Russia has special Tesla Coil's, special Tesla Tank's, you've all seen it before...

--China
Color: N/A
Focuses on: Fire, gattling technology
Faction trait: Financial
China is another strange faction, like Japan. China has a whole different tech tree, but it uses some Hammer things. It specializes in fire, and Napalm Trooper's and Dragon Tank's will be a common sight on the battlefield.

-Brotherhood of Nod
Color: Red (same story as GDI)
Focuses on: Stealth, light, fast vehicles, hit and run tactics
Faction trait: Financial
The Brotherhood of Nod is also a bit hectic in the campaign (especially the Soviets one), as they are constantly manipulated and lured and whatever. We all know them and we all can guess what things they have, a Stealth Tank, a Flame Tank, an Obelisk of Light...

--Revenants
Color: Red (same story as GDI)
Focuses on: Stealth, lasers, Black Hand
Faction trait: Guerilla
The Revenants use light vehicles, a bit more stealth, and have powerfull lasers at their disposal. Further, their entire infantry force contains all kinds of Black Hand units. Maybe a strange combination, but Kane's Deciples use cyborgs and fire, which is also maybe a strange combination. Anything for diversity.

--Kane's Deciples
Color: Red (same story as GDI)
Focuses on: Cyborgs, fire
Faction trait: Steamroller
Input directive...Kane's Deciples use cyborgs, drones, bots, etc, and fire. Their can't be said much about them, other then that they won't have an use for transports. Their cyborgs can't fit in most. Remember that cyborgs, while not really vulnerable to bullets, are very vulnerable to shells and rockets.

-Slayers
Color: Green
Focuses on: Cheap, expendable units, suicide units, cemicals, mutations, chaos technology
Faction trait: Rusher
The Slayers consist of rebels, slaves, mutations, and terrorists. Their goal is to have peace, but much of their forces want war. If you like to use much chemical thingies, like Dr. Thrax, this is your faction. From basic tanks that fire chemical balls, to carpet bombers which also drop chemical balls. And the best thing is, with your chemical arsenal you can mutate enemy infantry into friendly Mutations (which are very weak, but nice cannonfodder none the less). Only remember that not all of your units are invincible to radiation (and that will be a large problem with the Radiation Tank, your basic tank, which unfortunately always seems to drive into a radiation field that it created). You can also find some of Yuri's units here, like the Virus (which now mutates infantry), the Gattling Tank, and Slave Miner, and the Slayers also have Terrorists and Demolition Trucks.

--Anarchists
Color: Brown
Focuses on: Cheap, expendable units, suicide units
Faction trait: Guerilla
The Anarchists are much like the GLA. With better suicide units, no chemicals or mutants, and a lot of cheap expendable units like Slaves, Combat Buggies, and Rocket Buggies. But they still have powerfull tools like the Bombarder Artillery or the Hot Air Balloon (a cheaper, weaker, and faster Kirov). The Anarchists want war on the rest of the world for the world just killed the Anarchists claiming the Anarchists were still on Yuri's side.

--Infected
Color: Dark green
Focuses on: Mutations, chemicals
Faction trait: Steamroller
The Infected consist of mutants, mutants, and mutants. They also want war on the world, for everyone thought they could just experiment on humans and mutations in the aftermath of the war against Yuri. Even the Allies. The Infected's infantry are immune to radiation of course, seing as they were mutated by it, and their basic infantry covers the role of anti-infantry, anti-tank, and anti-air soldier.

-Loyalists
Color: Purple
Focuses on: Mind control, lasers
Faction trait: Turtler
The Loyalists are Yuri's forces, with all the useless things thrown away. They now solely consist of mind control units, and for their attacking units they have some Floating Disk like lasers (only for their basic tank, anti-air tank, and basic defence though, and of course the Floating Disk, which now can't drain cash from structures and can only fire its laser). You'll recognize some from Yuri's Revenge, but not really much. They are balanced, they are even weak, for mind control can't be used on robotic units. And every faction has gotten 2 robots (well, some didn't like the Hammer, for that's not its style). Now guess how weak they will be when up against Kane's Deciples, or the Infcted (mutations are also immune to mind control). They do of course have some lasers, for that reason, so they may very well be able to win, although nearly their entire arsenal will be useless. For example, their anti-tank infantry is a Yuri Clone (which has been renamed to Inaugerated, and Yuri Prime has been renamed to Yuri Clone) that can only mind control vehicles.

--Devout
Color: Light green
Focuses on: Tiberium
Faction trait: Rusher
Note that I haven't really designed this faction. I intend to let it focus on tiberium, and thus will only play a part of the story after tiberium is recreated. I don't really have anything more to say about it, except thsi globakl outline.

--Spirit Legion
Color: Grey / gray
Focuses on: Anything it can acquire, ghosts
Faction trait: Financial
The Spirit Legion are a creepy faction, and come to exist after Yuri is resurrected. Yuri has gone mad, and summons the Spirit Legion. It uses poison, fire, mutating things, EMP...It's names are themed around Greek mythe, so you can know what each unit sort of does. The Cerberus, for example, is just a much better Attack Dog. Note that the Lasher Tank, from Yuri's Revenge, is only used by the Spirit Legion. Although it has recieved some chanegs of course.

That were all the playable teams...I hope you like it.
